Xiao Jiu has a friend who has a clear idea and often asks me some strange questions, such as:
Do people who stutter burp, do they also stutter?
Why does the saliva stink so much after it leaves your mouth?
……
When people can't sleep, they start to think wildly, and last night, this friend proposed a "soul torture" to me:
What happens if a person accidentally eats a piece of tumor meat?
Thinking like this, it is indeed a little bit of a little scary, in case you accidentally eat a piece of tumor meat, will it take root in the body...

<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="8" >, what happens if a person eats a tumor? </h1>
Although the friend's question is extremely frightening, it is not difficult to explain, and Xiao Jiu first analyzes from two aspects.
First of all, no matter how terrible the tumor is, after leaving the human body, it is essentially a lump of "meat". Unlike ordinary meat, tumor lesions are a complex collection group, there are cancer cells of different tumors, there are normal cells of the human body, and immune cells, etc., after leaving the human body, it loses its nutritional support, and it will soon die, even if it is eaten into the stomach, there is no activity, can not cause an impact.
In addition, know that our digestive system is very strong, there is stomach acid in the front, and there are various digestive juices in the back. Even if the tumor escapes the disaster and is not corroded by stomach acid, it will be decomposed into fatty acids, sugars, amino acids and other self-nutrients after entering the small intestine.
Taking a step back, even if the tumor is not broken down by the small intestine, it will still be excreted; if it is not excreted and absorbed into the blood, it will become an allogeneic graft and be attacked by the immune system.
If the stomach acid does not corrode, the small intestine does not digest, is not excreted, and is not absorbed into the blood, then it will become an allogeneic tumor, which needs to adapt to the special environment and metabolic mode in the human body, etc. This process is long and difficult, and the survival difficulty can be imagined.
Therefore, accidentally eating a piece of tumor meat will not get a tumor, but it may be because of the toxic and harmful substances in it, inflammation, gastrointestinal discomfort, poisoning and other reactions, which is why the state prohibits the sale of sick pork.
Finally the answer is over. It is not a secret, Xiao Jiu really wants to vomit a little during the answering process, too heavy mouth...
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="40" >2, inject cancer cells into healthy people, will you get cancer? </h1>
If you inject cancer cells directly into the human body through injections, will you get cancer? In fact, this experiment has long been done by scientists.
In the 17th century, two Dutch doctors, Tupu and Lustanny, proposed that several people in some families had cancer in succession, indicating that cancer was contagious. Despite authorities debunking the rumors, many residents believed it out of fear of cancer, causing a panic.
To study the transmission route of cancer, American medical scientist Chester Southom conducted an experiment by injecting cancer cells directly into healthy people.
Before conducting human experiments, Chester discovered that injecting mice with cancer cells could make mice cancerous. This can't help but make Chester wonder: the reagent bottle in the laboratory will inevitably be mixed with cancer cells, if healthy people inject cancer cells, will they also suffer from cancer like mice?
In February 1954, Chester found a leukemia patient who, without her knowledge, injected millions of cancer cells into the patient along with normal saline. Subsequently, Chester found more than a dozen cancer patients and did the same.
A few days later, a malignant tumor appeared on the patient's arm; a month later, the malignancy subsided, resulting in one patient dying of cancer cells spreading.
Chester believes that the experiment cannot prove that injecting cancer cells will cause cancer, because these people are themselves cancer patients.
To explore further, Chester recruited more than 65 healthy prisoners serving sentences in prison and gave them regular injections of cancer cells. It turned out that all the prisoners relied on their own immunity to defeat the foreign cancer cells, and the further back they went, the faster the lumps disappeared, which meant that antibodies had been produced in their bodies.
In the end, Chester concluded that injecting cancer cells did not cause cancer, and that after the cancer cells entered the body, there would be an immune rejection reaction, and eventually they would be "arrested" by the immune system.
As a result of the experiment, Chester's license to practice medicine was revoked for a year, and in 1971, he was also elected president of the American Society for Cancer Research.
<h1 class="pgc-h-arrow-right" data-track="41" >3, after cancer "kills" the patient, it will also die, why does it do this? </h1>
The last "brain hole problem" comes: why do cancer cells "kill" people? Doesn't it also disappear after a person dies?
Normal cells have a certain lifespan, and at a certain time they will age, apoptosis, and finally be eliminated by macrophages, which is known in medicine as "programmed death". But cancer cells are "different fireworks", the result of genetic mutations in normal cells, which are not controlled by the body's regulation, and they grow rapidly, can proliferate indefinitely, and can even resist the apoptosis process.
Due to the need for a large number of proliferation, cancer cells need more nutrients, normal cells can not compete with it, eventually lead to dysfunction of various organs, failure, but also lead to human cachexia, appetite decline, inability to eat normally, malnutrition, low immunity and other situations, and eventually lead to patient death.
After death, cancer cells lose their source of nutrition, lose their meaning of existence, and will die one after another.
The reason why cancer cells "do" this is because they are not intelligent creatures at all, and will only destroy the human body by "brute force". Thinking that it will strategize like a high-level creature is actually that we humans think too much.
Today, the means to inhibit and kill cancer cells are still limited, but fortunately, some cancers are treated systematically, and patients can coexist with the cancer and survive with tumors. Instead of running away, we should face our fears and look for scientific solutions!
