TORONTO, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- Erin O'Toole, the leader of Canada's largest opposition party, the Federal Conservative Party, was confirmed to be infected with the new crown virus on the evening of September 18, local time. Leaders of both the largest and second largest opposition parties in the Canadian Parliament were confirmed to be infected on the eve of the imminent resumption of Parliament.
A statement from the Conservatives said O'Toole was in self-isolation and in good shape. His wife and children tested negative.
Quebec Governor Lego, who has had a one-on-one meeting with O'Toole in recent days, said that night that he was already in quarantine. However, Lego met in Ottawa with the governors of Ontario, Alberta and Manitoba earlier on the 18th.
