Hot summer days are the season of mosquito breeding, and there is a commonly known as "flower-footed mosquito", whose real name is Aedes albopictus, which is the culprit in the transmission of dengue fever. To prevent and control dengue fever, cd-semiterminal monitors its density with the Breteau Index (BI).

Today, the CDC and his party came to a residential area in the city for monitoring, specifically, to see how many containers there are in the homes of 100 residents with Aedes albopictu larvae, so as to judge the Bret chart index in the area and thus know the risk of infectious diseases transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes.
Upon inspection, it was found that six containers had been placed in the family's yard, and five of them contained Aedes albopictus larvae.
Mosquito larvae are bouncing around in bottles and cans, mosquito pupae have begun to feather, and they are about to fly out.
The key to mosquito prevention is to remove stagnant water
I don't know if you have found that after the summer rains, there are especially many mosquitoes, and the places with stagnant water are densely packed with mosquitoes. Why? Aedes albopictus larvae prefer to live in a variety of small containers, and three stages of their growth and development cycles are carried out in water. Director Leng Peien of the Vector Biological Control Department of the Infectious Disease Prevention and Control Institute of the Shanghai Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention told us: There are no mosquitoes without stagnant water!
In addition, the disease control jun told everyone a secret, the eggs laid in a variety of small water Aedes albopictus, often encounter the phenomenon of evaporation of water shortly after laying eggs, its eggs will not die due to lack of water, but into a state of diapause, after the rain container water, and then hatch into larvae to grow into adult mosquitoes. This special ability has allowed Aedes albopictus to spread around the world.
How to deal with it? For the accumulated water of the Aedes albicans larvae, the accumulated water cannot be directly poured into the ditch, so that the released mosquitoes will still grow into adult mosquitoes, but pour the accumulated water on the dryer flat cement floor, and the container should be placed upside down to prevent the container from accumulating water again.
Mosquito larvae that grow up in the water
After sucking blood, the ovarian mature Aedes albopictus mosquitoes will look for a variety of small water bodies to lay eggs, the eggs hatch in the water body into one-instar larvae, two-year larvae, third-instar larvae and fourth-instar larvae (also known as widows), the fourth-instar larvae pupate in the water, and finally the pupae are feathered into adults.
