The appearance is very similar to a golden knife, and there are also "horns" that grow from the back in adulthood. If you look closely, you will find that they have only two longitudinal black stripes on their bodies, while the golden knife and the black and white knife have three. Because of its distribution in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea regions, the domestic price is much higher than other varieties. Some unscrupulous merchants use the juvenile fish of the golden knife or black and white knife to impersonate the red customs knife, and special attention should be paid when choosing.
Don't worry that they can't adapt to the artificial environment, even beginners, as long as they come out of the breeding environment like ordinary marine fish, they can be successfully raised. The Red Customs Knife can grow up to 20 cm and must be fed in aquariums with a volume of more than 400 liters. If you're not sure that the Red Customs Knife you're raising happens to be a couple, it's best to keep it in singular form, which can avoid fights between individuals.
The Red Sea region has a high salinity, so when raising this species, try not to reduce the normal proportion like the guan knife of other breeds. I recommend raising them in seawater with a specific gravity of around 1.023, and if they are higher, the color will be more vivid.
