This means that Zhengzhou currently has 3 types of new coronavirus vaccines with different technical routes for citizens to vaccinate.
Only 1 dose is required for the whole course
It is understood that the adenovirus vector vaccine is jointly developed by the team of academician Chen Wei of the Academy of Military Medicine of the Academy of Military Sciences and CanSino Biologics, and is the first approved domestic adenovirus vector new coronavirus vaccine. This vaccination is suitable for people aged 18 years and over. Only 1 dose is required for the whole course.
In terms of effectiveness, a single dose of adenovirus vector vaccine can produce effective protection after 14 days, with an overall protective efficacy of 68.83% for all symptoms and 95.47% for severe cases.
In terms of safety, adenovirus vector vaccines have been reviewed and approved by the drug regulatory authorities, and their safety and effectiveness can be guaranteed. Local reactions are mainly manifested as pain, redness, induration, etc. at the inoculation site, and systemic reactions are mainly fever, fatigue, headache, myalgia, etc.
Experts from the Zhengzhou Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention remind that due to the characteristics of the adenovirus vector vaccine itself, some people will have fever (body temperature below 38.5 ° C), which is a normal reaction, no need for tension, and no need to do special treatment. Pay attention to drinking more water, rest properly, avoid colds, and prevent secondary diseases. When the fever temperature is high, antipyretic drugs can be taken appropriately, symptomatic treatment, or physical cooling can be used. If you have a high body temperature, persistent non-depyretic, or other symptoms other than fever, there should be a high suspicion of fever from other causes, and seek prompt medical attention.
There are already 3 vaccines available for the public to choose from
At present, 5 new coronavirus vaccines have been approved for use in China. According to the technical route, the five vaccines are divided into 3 categories, namely inactivated vaccines, which require two doses of vaccination, adenovirus vector vaccine, which requires one dose, and recombinant protein vaccines, which require 3 doses. At present, these three types of vaccines have been started in Zhengzhou City.
Experts from the Zhengzhou Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention said that the vaccine manufacturers or brands used in specific vaccination clinics (points) may be different. However, no matter what kind of vaccine, it is approved by the national drug regulatory department and has good safety and immune effects.
