Cypress, cypress, cypress, cypress three kinds of cypress plants are the most common. People generally call it "cypress tree". In fact, it is a plant of three genera, and the morphological characteristics are very different. Today I will talk about the identification skills of the three tree species and communicate together.
First, the characteristics of twigs:
The side cypress twigs stretch obliquely upwards, and the twigs with long leaves are flattened.

The small branches of cypress trees grow drooping, which is also known as "weeping cypress", and the small branches with long leaves are flattened.
Cypress twigs are cylindrical and stretch diagonally upwards.
Second, the blade characteristics:
The cypress is all scaly leaves. Cypress is also full of scaly leaves. There are both scaly and spiny leaves on cypress branches, but there are no joints at the base of the thorny leaves.
Third, the difference between cones:
The cones of cypress are fleshy, do not crack when ripe, and are two to four pairs of scales, and there are one to six seeds in the cones.
The cones of the side cypress have four pairs of scales, the upper and lower pairs have no seeds, and the middle two pairs have one or two seeds, planting scale wood, and the cones crack when ripe.
The cones of cypress have four pairs of scales, each with five or six seeds, the seeds are small, the bulbs are woody, and the cones crack when ripe.
By mastering the above three points, you can distinguish the three tree species.
