Biodiversity is an important foundation for the survival and development of human beings, in recent years, Liandu District has deeply practiced the concept of "green water and green mountains are golden mountains and silver mountains", comprehensively promoted the construction of ecological civilization, strengthened ecological environmental protection throughout the territory, steadily promoted biodiversity conservation, and strived to paint a new picture of the beautiful lotus capital of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

Conduct background surveys and assessments across the region
Liandu District launched a global biodiversity background survey, conducted a comprehensive mapping of the ecological background in the area, and formed the Liandu District Biodiversity Survey and Assessment Report, which provided solid basic data and decision-making support for biodiversity conservation.

According to the survey, by the end of 2020, a total of 1242 species and 28 species of national protected species were found, of which 2 species of national level I key protected animals were recorded in the field survey: white-necked long-tailed pheasant and black chamois; 26 species of national grade II protected animals, such as Chinese impala, Chinese iguana, white stork, forest eagle, collared partridge, giant salamander, tiger striped frog, etc.; the survey found 3 new species of Lishui birds: copper blue crane, square-tailed ibis, black-faced spoonbill.
High-level implementation of ecological protection and restoration
Always adhere to the concept of a community of life in landscapes, forests, fields, lakes and grasses, implement the protection and restoration of important ecological function areas, sensitive ecological environment areas and vulnerable areas, and systematically maintain the authenticity and integrity of the forest system and the river and lake wetland system. The construction of wetland restoration, vegetation restoration, biodiversity conservation and other projects in Kowloon Wetland Park has been carried out, and the concept of "protecting nature, loving nature, and living in harmony with nature" has been vigorously advocated, and the protection of Kowloon National Wetland Park has been further improved.

Strengthen the protection of wild animals and plants, ancient trees and famous trees, endangered species and cultivated land protection, make every effort to manage public welfare forests, build beautiful forest phases, and implement the "one village and ten thousand trees" action, "trees" have firmly established the ecological barrier of Liandu. Actively carry out the "Green Shield" special action, set up the Liandu Fengyuan Provincial Nature Reserve, and actively promote the standardized construction of the Liandu Fengyuan Provincial Nature Reserve.
Promote biodiversity publicity in multiple dimensions
Vigorously publicize, educate, popularize and disseminate the concept of biodiversity conservation, and promote the conservation of biodiversity to become a conscious action of the whole society.
✦ Biodiversity-themed awareness campaigns
In conjunction with the 6.5 World Environment Day, a publicity campaign with the theme of "Harmonious Coexistence between Man and Nature" was held; a typical case of "Liandu Green Tofu" was excavated as a typical case of the utilization of traditional knowledge of biodiversity, and a documentary on "Liandu Green Tofu" was filmed; the filming and production of a propaganda film of Liandu Fengyuan Provincial Nature Reserve was launched, which will focus on publicizing the natural scenery of the four seasons and rare animal and plant resources in the reserve; and a micro-video of biodiversity theme publicity such as "In Liandu, Hear the Voice of Nature" was produced. Encourage more citizens to participate in the action of building a beautiful lotus capital in harmony with all things.
