The green forest nymph, also known as the green grasshopper and green water nymph, is a large, non-venomous snake found in the eastern and southern Andes mountains of South America, inhabiting swamps, wetlands and tranquil rivers. The males average 3 meters in total length and weigh an average of 30 kilograms, while the females have an average total length of 4.6 meters and an average weight of 56 kilograms, making them the largest members of the family Crab family and one of the largest and longest snakes in the world. Although the Reticulated Python in Asia is longer than the Green Forest Borer, the Green Forest Borer is heavier than the Reticulated Python and is currently the heaviest snake in the world.

The body color is olive and dark yellow, with oval spots of black and blackish yellow. Highly aquatic and often active in the water. The distribution is limited by the water source and does not appear in areas that are too far away from the water source. They move slowly on land, but are very fast and agile in water. Feeding on fish, birds, many mammals and reptiles, larger prey is first wrapped around and suffocated, and then slowly swallowed in its entirety. They also kill their own kind, and many records show that large females hunt small males. They are all in a state of solitary activity outside of estrus.
The family Aphididae is a family of protosnaps in the order Serpentaceae, belonging to the more primitive branch of the snake family, all of which are non-venomous snakes. It is divided into the subfamily Aphid and the subfamily Ofacyceae, with a total of about 75 species in 17 genera. Most live in a relatively humid environment. The body is generally long and cylindrical; the tail is relatively short. The upper and lower jaws are not connected by the tendons, but only by bones wrapped in retractable tendons, so that their jaws can be detached. Snakes of the family Aphididae do not hear, but can feel vibrations through their jaws. Their internal organs, especially their stomachs, are able to stretch and contract very strongly, so they are able to swallow prey larger in diameter than them.
