In order to further understand the history and current situation of the conservation and development of Norwegian offshore fishery resources, and to provide strong support for improving the conservation capacity of Marine Fishery Resources in China, at the invitation of Professor Kjell Inge Reitan of the Marine Laboratory of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NUTU Sealab), recently, in accordance with the implementation plan of the Consulting and Research Project of the Chinese Academy of Engineering "Strategic Research on the Conservation of Fishery Resources in China's Exclusive Economic Zone", Qin Chuanxin, an associate researcher selected by the South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences, Assistant researcher Ming Junchao and his party went to Norway to carry out exchange and learning on breeding and conservation of offshore fisheries for 6 days.
During their stay in Norway, the experts of the South China Sea Institute conducted academic exchanges with the Marine Laboratory of the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the SINTEF Ocean 4 expert teams around the theme of "Conservation of Offshore Fishery Resources", not only introduced the construction of Marine Ranching in China and the research progress and the basic situation of the Institute, but also visited the relevant experimental facilities, and went to Farya Island to conduct field interviews with relevant responsible persons such as private aquaculture enterprises, and comprehensively understood the history and basic situation of the conservation and development of Norwegian offshore fishery resources. In-depth exchanges were held on the current enhancement and stocking of fishery resources and their management measures, sustainable aquaculture, construction of marine ranches, and joint postgraduate training.
