This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the beginning of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and the key year for building a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and embarking on a new journey of comprehensively building a modern socialist country. At the same time, the State Food and Drug Administration has completed two years since it launched the "China Drug Regulatory Science Action Plan", the ideas of regulatory scientific research have gradually become clear, and key research projects have continued to blossom.
As the scientific research base of drug supervision of the State Food and Drug Administration, Shandong University is scheduled to hold the second Collaborative Innovation Conference on Drug Regulatory Science in Linyi, Shandong Province, on June 21-23, 2021, in order to give full play to the advantages of the scientific research platform and talent training of universities, further implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, help modernize the drug regulatory governance system and governance capabilities, and serve China's drug science supervision cause and healthy China strategy, which is scheduled to hold the second collaborative innovation conference of drug regulatory science in Linyi, Shandong on June 21-23, 2021, with the theme of this conference being "Regulatory Science and Chinese Medicine in the New Era".
This conference will conscientiously implement the spirit of "inheriting the essence, keeping the integrity and innovating" put forward by General Secretary Xi Jinping for the work of traditional Chinese medicine, closely follow the requirements of "comprehensively promoting the construction of a healthy China" and "promoting the inheritance and innovation of traditional Chinese medicine" in the national "14th Five-Year Plan" and the "Outline of Long-term Goals for 2035", and take the "Implementation Opinions of the State Drug Administration on Promoting the Inheritance and Innovation of Traditional Chinese Medicine" as the guide, and present an academic feast in the old revolutionary area of Yimeng, inheriting the red gene and presenting the centennial birthday of our party.

The Institute of Drug Regulatory Science of Shandong University, jointly established by the China Drug Supervision and Administration Research Association, Shandong University and the Shandong Provincial Drug Administration, was approved as the first batch of drug regulatory scientific research bases in November 2019, and successfully held the first collaborative innovation conference on drug regulatory science co-sponsored by the three parties in Jinan in December of the same year. In order to further play the resource aggregation and collaborative innovation role of the platform, Shandong University plans to build on the first Collaborative Innovation Conference on Drug Regulatory Science, and gradually organize an academic event that gathers the frontier ideas of drug regulatory scientific research at home and abroad, pays attention to the hot and difficult points of regulatory science, serves the main body of drug regulatory scientific research, and promotes the collaborative innovation of drug regulatory science on the basis of the first collaborative innovation conference on drug regulatory science, and each conference will focus on a cutting-edge theme.
The conference was jointly sponsored by the China Drug Supervision and Administration Research Association, Shandong University, Shandong Provincial Food and Drug Administration, Linyi Municipal People's Government, and hosted by the Academy of Drug Regulatory Sciences of Shandong University and the Linyi Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau. At that time, the relevant leaders of the State Drug Administration, the China Drug Supervision and Administration Research Association, the Shandong Provincial Food and Drug Administration, and the relevant research experts of drug regulatory science at home and abroad will be invited to attend and make academic reports on the theme of "Regulatory Science and Chinese Medicine in the New Era".
