Blue-tongue disease, a viral infectious disease of ruminants (chu) animals mediated by insects, is a disease characterized by ulcerative inflammatory changes in the mouth, nasal cavity, and gastric mucosa.
Most of the cattle with this disease are latent infections. It is mainly transmitted by kushimi, and after the bull is infected, it is transmitted to the cow through mating and artificial insemination. Infected cows are transmitted to calves through the placenta. This disease mostly occurs in the hot and humid summer and early autumn, especially in low-lying areas with many ponds and rivers.
Symptoms: the incubation period of this disease is 3 to 8 days, the initial body temperature of this disease can reach more than 40, residual fever for 5 to 6 days, the main symptoms are salivation, difficulty swallowing, as the condition worsens, the mouth is smelly, rhinitis secretions. The course of the disease is generally 6 to 14 days, and the mortality rate of this disease is about two percent. If you don't die, you will usually be cured in 10 to 15 days.
prevention and cure:
Method 1: Symptomatic treatment based on temporary diagnosis. Such as antiviral drugs, interferons, interleukin-2 and so on.
Method 2: Pre-inoculation of weak pathogenic bacteria and tissue seedlings weakened by bovine fetal kidney cells, regular disinfection of the pen, killing vampire insects, and preventing the spread of the disease.
