Five: Game Nights 2018

Few comedy films released throughout the 2010s were as smart, funny, or hilarious as Game Night. The film features Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams as Max and Annie Davis, and the suburban couple hosts a game night with shocking problems. Max's younger brother Brooks was kidnapped, but others thought it was all part of the game. Mark Perez's beautiful original screenplay is full of twists and turns, but it also makes the film very interesting, with great performances by the likes of Jesse Plemons and directing by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.

Four: Pop Stars: Never Stop, 2016

Another under-grossing film, Pop Stars: Never Stop, played by the always funny Andy Samberg as Conner Friel, a once-popular boy band member who had some problems with his career. Told in a mock documentary style reminiscent of This Is the Spinal Cord, the film is a clever mix of many comedic elements and styles, with its satirical elements arguably the most amusing. It is a hilarious and insightful bias against the extreme measures taken by celebrities and some people in order to maintain relevance. Audiences watching the film can't help but think of certain singers and performers, and that only makes it more interesting.

Three: The End of the World, 2013

Partly a doomsday comedy and partly a mockery of celebrity narcissism, End of the World is set up as Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg's second most-successful comedy. The film includes Logan, James Franco, Jay Baruchel and Jonah Hill, all of whom play themselves in the film. The film contains all the hilarious and childish improvisations one would expect from a Rogan Goldberg comedy, and the self-deprecating performances shown have always been hilarious. However, the film also contains a surprisingly tender core, with the characters of Logan and Baruchel embodying a theme of friendship that diminishes in adulthood and fame. The film deftly balances surprising characters, the fun of the end of the world, and the interplay between talented actors.

II: Dragon and Tiger Junior Team 2012

As a big-screen reboot of the 80s TV series beloved by fans, Dragon Tiger Junior Team continues its comedic style well. And a movie without actors is nothing. Luckily, both Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum have proven their leadership, and they have some impeccable comedic flair and incredible chemistry. The film works on multiple levels, even as a comedy with some deadly jokes. Simply put, it was one of the most surprisingly great comedies of the decade.

One: Bridesmaids, 2011

No other comedy in the 2010s was as funny and impactful as Bridesmaids. Directed by Paul Feig, produced by Judd Apatow, and co-written by star Kristen Wiig, Bridesmaids shatters the preconceived notions of a female-dominated film by offering some vulgar, disgusting, and often shocking humor. Its unique style has helped inspire a future of female-centered comedy. The film's script is both hilarious and touching, and the actors' performances are excellent. Most notably Melissa McCarthy, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for her performance by Megan Price. Bridesmaids cleverly balanced the story and comedy that included women, resulting in the most unique and critically acclaimed comedy of the 2010s.
