Barton sprained his ankle during today's training

Nuggets coach Mike Malone revealed in an interview today that Will Barton suffered a sprained left ankle during today's training session, and fortunately, the injury does not seem to be particularly serious, and he can still walk out of the stadium on his own.

Barton played just 56 games last season due to injury, averaging 12.7 points, 4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game, and at the end of the season, he renewed a new two-year, $32 million contract with the team.

Nuggets No. 2 star Jamal Murray has no clear return timeline due to a knee injury, the team was expecting Barton to fill some of the firepower gap, if he can not participate in the beginning of the season, michael Porter Jr., who has just been renewed, will play a more important role on the offensive end.
