Italian media: Jovinko gave up joining Thessaloniki and is currently closely linked to Venice

According to Italian media Sportitalia, Sebastian Giovinco suddenly abandoned negotiations with Thessaloniki and will not join the Greek club, so Venice is still expected to sign him.

Jovinko, now 34, almost joined Thessaloniki last night. Sportitalia claimed today that negotiations between the two sides have cooled down quickly and that they have now completely abandoned the deal, which looks unlikely to materialize and that Jovenco will remain with Al hilal for now. Joe Vinco, whose contract expires in December 2021, was hoping for a transfer in part to continue following his former Al Hilal coach Razwan Lucescu.

It is reported that Jovenko is currently closely linked to Venice, who has been promoted to Serie A, which has advanced to Serie A through the Second Division play-offs. Joe Wenco left Juve in February 2015 to join Toronto FC and joined AlCilar in January 2019, where he previously played for Empoli and Parma, where he scored 23 goals for the Italian national team.
