Serbian legendary player and former coach Stojkovic of Guangzhou R&F officially confirmed to take over the Serbian national team and lead the team to the 2022 Qatar World Cup European Qualifiers. Pantritsch said Dragan Stojkovic is the new manager of the Serbian national team, but there are more details to discuss. The appointment was officially announced at a press conference next week.
As we all know, Stojkovic recently reached an oral agreement with the president of the Serbian Football Association, Kokeza, to lead the Serbian national team. However, due to some clauses in the contract with Guangzhou R&F in the Chinese Super League, Stojkovic needs to remove these obstacles before he can take over the national team. The final reply was delayed due to the traditional Chinese New Year holiday.
When Stojkovic takes office, Stevan Stojanovic, Bratislav Zivkovic, Marko Perović, Zarko Djurovic and Aleksandar Kocic will join the coaching staff.
