After the launching ceremony, the participants visited the operation of the equipment in the factory area and learned about the current situation of sewage treatment in the area. With the rapid social and economic development of Panyu District, the sewage treatment capacity of Nancun and Xinzhu Area has been unable to meet the needs of regional development. In view of this situation, Panyu Water Investment Group Co., Ltd. quickly started the construction of the third phase of the Nancun Water Purification Plant in accordance with the work deployment of the district party committee and the district government, and started construction on July 1, 2020. On the basis of not changing the scale of land use and not stopping production in the factory area, the project simultaneously carried out the first phase of technical transformation and the third phase of expansion, and achieved the goal of jumping from the original 30,000 tons / day to 80,000 tons / day. The project adopts the form of biochemical pool transformation, under the premise of not destroying the pool body and ensuring the normal operation of the second phase, fully excavating the volume potential of the pool body, transforming the 4 groups of CASS pools inside the pool into 4 groups of anaerobic-hypoxia-aerobic pools, and dismantling the new 3#O pool to meet the production process needs of 80,000 tons / day. This is another new breakthrough in the construction of water purification plants in Panyu District after the completion of the first buried water purification plant in the district, the Luoxi Island Water Purification Plant, and is also another model project for the construction of sewage treatment facilities in Panyu District. After the third phase of the Nancun Water Purification Plant project is put into operation, it will effectively solve the situation that the treatment capacity of the Nancun sewage system is insufficient, the discharge is greater than the supply, and the full coverage of regional sewage treatment will be realized, and the further improvement of the quality of the effluent water will also enhance the effect of river surge water replenishment and improve the overall water environment in the region.

It is understood that since the beginning of this year, with the first and second phases of the Luoxi Island Water Purification Plant, the third phase of the Dashi Water Purification Plant and the third phase of the Nancun Water Purification Plant have been completed and put into trial operation, the scale of sewage treatment in the whole region has jumped to 915,000 tons / day, effectively improving the sewage treatment capacity of the whole region and laying the foundation for promoting the implementation of urban sewage treatment quality and efficiency.
