"Asahi 5 to 9: The Handsome Monk Falls in Love with Me" is a complete collection of Chinese characters in Japanese

Junko Sakuraba (Rimi Ishihara) works diligently as a lecturer at an English-speaking institution just to save enough money to live in the twilight of New York. During a ritual, Runko, who has numb legs, scatters her ashes on the head of the monk Hoshikawa (Tomohisa Yamashita), but the accident makes Hoshikawa fall in love with Runzi at first sight, after which Hoshikawa launches a series of attacks against Runzi that are not so much enthusiastic as almost "harassing".

Shōnen Kiyomiya (Kei Tanaka) is Runko's former teacher and now boss, and the two have a hazy relationship that has not yet been clarified. Satoshi Mishima (Yuki Furukawa) and Runzi were once classmates, but now they are students under Runzi and have an unspeakable admiration for Runzi. Yuki Satoshi (Takada Biao) is a cute girl on the surface, but in fact she is a boy, so he is bitterly in love with Junko. However, all the obstructions could not dampen Hoshikawa's deep love for Junko, including the heavy mission he carried on his shoulders to inherit the temple as the next abbot.

The series is based on the manga of the same name by Makoto Sagahara.
