LeBron James also holds the record for the most games he's scored at least 10 consecutive points. This record began on January 6, 2007, and is currently 999 consecutive games. In second place were Michael Jordan's 866 games and Karim Abdul-Jabbar's 787 games.
Scoring isn't James' best accomplishment, though, but it's definitely a remarkable feat. Analysts have been praising his passing and vision since he entered the league 18 years ago, comparing it to Lakers icon Magic Johnson.
But what sets James apart is his weight and speed, which people compare to rugby centre-backs. This allowed LeBron James to be muscular enough to walk into the ring. Even center and striker bigger than him can't fight his brute force. James later developed a reliable jumper, which made him a formidable offensive player.
Currently, James is ranked third on the NBA's all-time scoring list. According to multiple calculations, as long as James averages about 25 points per game in the next two seasons, he will be able to surpass Karim Abdul-Jabbar to the first place. In an interview last year, LeBron James acknowledged the record, noting that he intends to just go with the flow, rather than actively chasing the record.
"If I say I didn't see it, I'm lying." LeBron James said in an interview. "Obviously, I'm not trying to say, 'Well, well, if I play this time, if my average time is this'... I wouldn't do that because I've never done that in my career. I've always gone with the flow. Whatever happens, it will happen. But I saw it. I did see it. "
