The October new "Wake Up, Girls!" is currently airing. In addition to the overall performance of the team, the personal stories of the girls have also attracted the attention of many people. Recently, some Japanese media interviewed Moyuki Yoshioka, who starred in the work of Makoto Shimada, and Yuka Odaira, who starred in Iwasaki Shiho, who continued to tell the story of this work. (Excerpt available)

A lot of emotions! Yoshioka Mosuke × Yuka Odaira revisits "WUG"

Q: The two actors, Mamoku Shimada and Shiho Iwasaki, were originally members of the I-1 and both were former Centers. But now they are in different teams. So why do they have the qualifications to be a Center? In addition, if you want to be a Center, what qualities should you have?

Yoshioka: I think if I can be, then there must be some kind of shining point in this girl. For example, in reality, if an idol is just a good image, then it is obviously not qualified to be a Center. Not only does she have to look good, but she also has to have something invisible that resembles an aura. Although the understanding of each fan may not be the same, it is always possible to feel this quality from her. That's what Center is all about. In fact, in different teams, the selection criteria are also different. Just being able to be a centr in these teams means that the girl must have a recognized characteristic. This kind of invisible thing is the most important thing, right?

Q: So in Miss Yoshioka's opinion, what kind of shining point does Shimada Mamo have?

A: That's a unique temperament. I'm afraid that the temperament she shows is the biggest difference from Shiho. Shiho is yang, and true dreams are yin. However, in such a shadow, there is the power of flashing. Even if she doesn't speak, she can have enough presence, so this is the advantage of Mamoku Shimada, and it is also the reason why she can become a Center.

Q: Thank you Miss Yoshioka for your answer. So what does Miss Daping think next?

Daping: I think there are many types of Center. The point she just mentioned is that Center is seen as a very attractive being. Even if you don't have this awareness, you will shine. In the works, Shiho also experiences the charm of true dreams while working his own. In a sense, she is a realist Center. Whoever sees her will think she's very good and think she must be a candidate for Center. Moreover, Shiho is very good to his juniors and will try to practice dancing until late at night. Giving her the position should be no problem.

And if There is anything That Center has in common, it should be that when the team encounters difficulties, as long as she is there, there will be a way. This is a very trustworthy person. Usually, you may leave things to others, but you can still stand in the front at critical moments. With such a sense of presence, you can become a Center.

Q: That's the way it is. So it's possible that Center will automatically stand out or be selected. This is very interesting.

Yoshioka: In this sense, Mamon Shimada should belong to the destined Center. However, Yoshioka Mosuke of the voice actor group "WUG" was arranged as a Center.

Daping: This is also a kind of fate. Regardless of the process, it's always the experience of being a Center. But there is also a point, that is, whether The Center can pay good attention to the team. Therefore, Meng Ge will be so harshly evaluated by Mr. Shiraki. Meng Ge belongs to the arranged Center, but her idea is too simple.

Q: Thank you both for your answers. So let's move the topic forward. In the memories of episode 7, Makoto Shimada said to the president, "Although it was hard at Azumabashi, I was still extremely happy. The so-called idol, should pay attention to this mood, right? So what do the two voice actors think they should pay attention to, and what is their turning point?

Daping: I was originally a person who really liked animation. After my debut, I wanted to be an all-rounder voice actor who could sing character songs and participate in events well. And after the first work, I was immediately given many opportunities to host broadcasts, broadcast live on niconico, and participate in events. Therefore, my first work in the life of a voice actor is already a turning point for myself. At the autograph session, I have more opportunities to meet the fans and get up close and personal with them at the concert. At that time, I was an ordinary high school student, and I actually had the ability to make so many people happy, which also made me gain a lot. And I actually have very good eyesight, so I can see the audience at a big concert (laughs). If I hadn't had those previous experiences, I would have felt nervous.

Q: Thank you Miss Daping for your answer. So what does Miss Yoshioka think?

A: I had a conversation with Mr. Shintaro Asanuma before, and that was supposed to be my turning point. Until then, I always felt like I had to get results in a voice actor job. Although I also want to become an all-rounder, I always feel that I am afraid to take a step. A lot of people will say, "You're a voice actor, but you end up acting on stage?" "You're a voice actor, but you're an idol?" While it makes me happy to hear people complimenting me on my performance at concerts, there are also many people who point out "what your job really is?" So I thought about whether or not to concentrate on a certain direction, and it turned out to be very annoying. At that time, I had a conversation with Mr. Asanuma and mentioned this annoyance. In response, Mr. Asanuma replied, "How about doing it all?" There's no need to focus on one point. "Since then, I've been able to do what I want to do, and I think it would be a shame to just look in one direction." And when I say I want to take on new challenges, I have some new jobs. This is also a great opportunity. Now I write lyrics, sing songs, chat on the radio, hold concerts, and perform stage plays, and I feel very free. I felt like I tried everything I wanted to do. If I hadn't had Mr. Asanuma at that time, I'm afraid I would have hesitated.

Odaira: Ms. Hidaka and Mr. Asanuma help me like a senior in my life. It's really like a god (laughs). They are fantastic seniors.

Q: Do the two of you often consult with Ms. Hidaka and Mr. Asanuma?

Daping: Whether it's work or life, I'll go to consult. Recently Ms. Hidaka taught me some knowledge about Chinese medicine. This work has helped me learn a lot from my predecessors. Occasionally, after the dubbing, we would go to dinner together, and then Miss Hidemiri Kato mentioned a lot of dubbing experiences to me.

Yoshioka: It's really beneficial.

Q: What are your expectations for the new chapter of WUG in the future?

Opei: In the next plot, Shiho's vulnerable side will be revealed. However, her connection with True Dream will also become closer. Only then did Makoto and Shiho have similar feelings. Anyway, I already have a premonition about this. Shiho's relationship with Makoto is very hot, just like a juvenile manga. And I hope you can pay attention to this fiery side. Stay tuned.

Yoshioka: There will be content that tells the story from an I-1 perspective. Although Mamoku Shimada knows that WUG is her real place to live, she will also be very concerned about the movement of the I-1 side. The future plot will have this description, and she will contact many members, such as calling Xiao Ai and so on. Mamoku Shimada, who has grown up, always cares about the I-1. On this point, the works will be described in detail, please pay attention to it.

Daping: Looking back now, whether it is Xiao Ai or Shiho, they are actually very dependent on real dreams. Sure enough, this is the Center. In their hearts, they have always decided that The Center can only be a true dream.

Yoshioka: Makoto and Shiho will be eternal rivals, comrades-in-arms, and friends. I think this relationship will continue forever.

Q: Thank you both for your answers! Finally, it is rare to invite two people to have a conversation, is there any topic between them that they want to ask?

Yoshioka: Actually, I've shared the stage with Miss Opei in many of my works. So what did Miss Daping think was the happiest when she played the role? I feel that Miss Daping's play path is too wide.

Opei: I think I'm the happiest to play a horror type role (laughs). Of course, I still like the kind of characters that can make others cheerful. Although I can only read out the lines when I play some of the roles of poisonous tongues, I am still a good person at heart (laughs).

Yoshioka: (Laughs)

Opei: If I could play a role that gives others a dream, then I would feel very happy. The character is like my daughter. So once I feel that this character can give strength to others, then I will be very happy. And I get excited when I have some great lines. Of course, personally, the ones who can have fun when starring should be horror characters or perverted characters (laughs).

Yoshioka: Indeed, Miss Opei's play path is really getting wider and wider (laughs).

Daping: After all, you can have a mood to let go of shouting, and you can also do things beyond the norm. But in any case, the favorite is the kind of character that can give others hope. What kind of role do you like to play?

Yoshioka: I especially like to play roles that don't play by the rules. This allows for more improvisation.

Opei: A woman from Osaka (laughs).

Yoshioka: No matter what the character is, in short, there can be no cold scene, otherwise I will find a way to fill in some lines. I think about how to get characters who don't talk much to have fun improvisations. So if I was asked to add an improvisational line when I dubbed a mouthless character, I would be very happy too. [Laughs]

Ogpyeong: So let me ask a question on behalf of the fans at WUG. In what situation do you think WUG is currently too good for these 7 people?

Yoshioka: There are many times! And Miss Tai Ping asked, maybe my answer would be superficial - when playing "The Werewolf Game" (laughs).

Daping: It's really superficial (laughs). But I get it! The team has to get along with this mentality.

Yoshioka: Usually it's a feeling of no stress.

Daping: It looks like family.

Yoshioka: Yes! It's true and just like family. Shanye is not usually the active type, but whenever she asks to play the game, everyone feels happy whenever she asks "do you want to play the werewolf game" (laughs). So it was natural to form a circle. It seems easy for us to circle very naturally. It's not that who stands up, it's that everyone naturally becomes a team. In this instant, I will think that WUG is awesome.

Daping: I'm very satisfied with this answer.

Q: Thank you both for interviewing us!
