He graduated from the cross-talk class of the Central Academy of Drama, took Feng Gong as his teacher, partnered with Wang Wenlin, founded the Beijing "Minglehui Pioneer Cross-Talk Base Area", using Internet celebrities and live broadcasts as materials, and traditional cross-talk as a template, creating new cross-talk such as "Catching and Releasing Optimus Prime", "Speaking for Himself", "Pioneer Selling Hanging Tickets", "Internet Celebrity Cultivation Record" and so on.
Li Mingyu was born in the old city of Tianjin in 1983, not far from home is Nanshi Food Street, and the ancestors of the family are old Tianjin guards. He studied Chinese painting with Mr. Qi Renze since he was a child, and attended the Affiliated Middle School of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in high school. Why do some actors come on stage, and everyone goes to smoke, call, go to the toilet? The audience is spending money to buy tickets, you have to listen to it all to be worth it, why go? The reason is that your work is not hard enough, not good enough.

I like crosstalk, but I can't find a teacher, so I learn from the "recording teacher" - the tape recorder recording teacher. Slowly he played with a few ticket friends, and at the age of seventeen or eighteen, he was able to go on stage to perform, participate in some performances for the benefit of the people, pedal bicycles for two hours to run over, and after the performance, each person was divided into more than ten yuan, and there were zero and tidy. Among the ticket holders, in addition to Li Mingyu, there were also Gao Feng, Qiu Yingjun and Xu Jian. Gao Feng is in the College of Agriculture, Qiu Yingjun is at Nankai University, li Mingyu is in high school, and both of them are amateurs. Because he loves cross-talk too much, in 2003, Li Mingyu gave up Chinese painting and was admitted to the cross-talk college class of the Central Academy of Drama. After being admitted, I learned that his grade was the third place in the professional course. So he worked very hard and studied hard.
In their sophomore year, their cross-talk class worked as a cross-talk club in the school, using the school's small theater to perform for free every Thursday night for the students, until the theater was full. Feng Gong noticed Li Mingyu, a student, and often called the class leader and asked if there was a performance of Li Mingyu tonight? The squad leader said yes, and he came to see.

After graduation, Li Mingyu decided to stay in Beijing to develop, hoping to integrate Tianjin's cross-talk with Beijing's cross-talk. But no one asked him to perform, then his parents did not call, the phone did not ring, then there was food at home, he could not go downstairs for a month, every day at home to write things, write a bunch of things but there is no place to act.
Feng Gong has always admired Li Mingyu and hired him to drive himself and work as an assistant. Feng Gong was particularly busy, often returning home at two o'clock at night, and then departing again at six or seven o'clock the next day. Therefore, Li Mingyu was also busy, and every morning when he woke up, he went to Feng Gong's house, and even went to people's homes to eat early. Hearing and seeing, learning, and understanding, he learned a lot of things with Feng Gong.
One day at noon, li Mingyu had the courage to say, Teacher Feng, I especially admire you and want to worship you as a teacher. Unexpectedly, Feng Gong said at that time, I like you a lot, so you can call master. Li Mingyu knelt down on his knees and prostrated his head, saying that Master thanked you. When he returned that night, he was so excited that he didn't sleep all night.

Teacher Feng Gong does not teach basic skills, but teaches Li Mingyu how to be an actor who leads the times, how to innovate, and how to develop. Feng Gong told Li Mingyu that traditional cross-talk is a compulsory course, but it is not necessary to say tradition every day. It is necessary to put tradition on oneself, create new works by example, and add bricks and tiles to the cross-talk industry, rather than being a cross-talk nibbling old man. In 2008, Li Mingyu composed the Spring Festival Gala sketch "Bus Concerto" for Feng Gong.
In 2009, Li Mingyu founded the "Minglehui Pioneer Xiangsheng Base Area" in Beijing, and Xuanwu District at that time gave great support and provided xuanwu district cultural center theater for free. He went to officiate the wedding in the morning, and he could earn 600 to 800 yuan at a time, an actor could perform for 50 yuan a day, seven programs a day, and prepare 700 yuan. Jiang Kun inscribed three words for him, "Mingle Hui".
Doing a small theater, Li Mingyu encountered all the joys and sorrows that should be encountered. Experienced a bad box office, but also experienced a ticket is difficult to find, ups and downs, actors come and go. In 2016, their company entered the angel round of investment and grew better and better.

When it comes to "pioneer crosstalk", Li Mingyu believes that it must be based on traditional crosstalk, but no matter from the topic, packaging, to the density of baggage, it must be done to the extreme.
