"Lost" producer reveals new show trends "Colony" is again working with Josh Hallowe

author:Mtime

A prolific screenwriter and producer, Cuth has also worked on films such as Lethal Weapon, Lethal Weapon 3, and Raiders of the Lost Ark 3. In addition, he is also one of the screenwriters of this year's latest disaster film, Doomsday Collapse.

Harlowe, who was present to cheer on Curtis's Achievement Award, told us: "Cuth is very honest with his soul, and he is never afraid to tell others what he thinks or listen to them. This is exactly what he embodies as a true artist. He is happy to hear good ideas from others and has the flexibility to make adjustments. But when someone is stupid, he says, 'Hey, you're so stupid, I'm the author, as I say!'" (Laughs).

Speaking about the new "Colony", Carlton Kuth revealed in an interview with Time Network at last week's Saturn Awards: "Similar to "Lost", the plot of this story is also very complicated. But I'm sure the audience is very smart, and they can definitely see it. The beginning of the story takes some time to unfold and will set up a lot of suspense. He also answered questions that many other fans were concerned about.

TIME: You've already made a couple of awesome TV series, and now you're going to have a new show called Colony, can you talk to us about it?

Carlton Coos: I'm particularly excited about The Colony. We'll start shooting in Los Angeles after July 4th, and Josh Halloway and I will be working together again. He's a good friend of mine, a great guy who's been in Lost. "The Colony" will add a lot of mysterious elements, telling the story of what happened in Los Angeles under the occupation of a mysterious force. And we don't know who this force is or what's going on. Josh plays a former FBI agent who, along with Sarah Wayne Carlis, tries to figure out the truth.

Time.com: Is this mysterious force alien?

Carlton Cous: We don't know. I mean, I know, but you don't know, I can't tell you.

Time.com: What's there about Josh Hallowe as an actor that you admire?

Carlton Coos: He's the kind of guy I want to be in real life (laughs). I want to be as cool and handsome as he is, funny and humorous, and powerful.

TIME:00: Why is he suitable for the lead role in The Colony?

Carlton Coos: When you've seen the show, you'll see that he combines humor, danger, authenticity and candor. Usually, it is difficult to have these qualities in a person at the same time, and he has them all. That's exactly what we asked him to do when he played Sawyer in Lost.

Time.com: Is this drama a science fiction drama?

Carlton Cooss: I think it's more of a family thriller with a little bit of sci-fi elements.

TIME: Why do you like this genre?

Carlton Couss: I think there's always a bit of a perilous situation when shooting stories like this. And I love telling stories about human characters in a world of danger.

Time.com: This genre is very popular, so there are already a lot of works in this field. Does this make it harder for you to make an original?

Carlton Cous: Yes, it is. There are so many of these kinds of TV series, so it's very difficult to make something new. As a creator, figuring out how to make a fresh drama is one of the many challenges.

TIME:TIME: Where did the inspiration and ideas for Colony come from?

Carlton Couss: Ryan Condor and I mentioned a lot of ideas when we were making another work. Then the two of us started discussing and polishing the parts that we both found cool to take a step further.

"The Colony" has been booked for 10 episodes, and this will be the fourth TV series on Kuss's screen. His other works include: Bates Inn, Return of the Zombies, and Blood, which has just begun filming the second season. In addition, the pilot episode of Point of Horror has also been launched on Amazon.
