After migrant workers in provinces and cities where the outbreak occurred earlier have returned to their hometowns, more cases of infection have been detected in many places.
In western Vietnam, new positive cases have been detected in many provinces such as An Giang and Bo Liao. At the same time, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An or some northern provinces also recorded more cases of infection returning from affected provinces and cities.

The multi-provincial outbreak remains complex
Currently in An Giang Province, Vietnam, 232 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded on 24 October, 40 of which were home-based community infections.
In Ba Di Vung Tau Province, not far from Ho Chi Minh, as of 6 a.m. on 25 October, a total of 16 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded in the past 24 hours, including five in the home community.
In The southern Province of Po Luao in southern Vietnam, as of 6 a.m. on October 25, a total of 154 new cases of COVID-19 had been recorded in the past 24 hours, of which 59 were infected in the local community, and 31 of them were employees of two local corporate factories.
On Phu Quoc Island, Vietnam's largest island, more than 500 close contacts have been recorded on the island since the discovery of the chain of infection at An Thoi Fang.
In Thanh Hoa Province, north-central Vietnam, 38 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded on 24 October, of which 14 were community infections and the rest were returned from the southern provinces and cities. All cases of infection were detected in quarantine areas. From 27 April to date, Thanh Hoa has recorded 866 covid-19 cases, 506 discharges and 6 deaths. The province has more than 1 million doses of vaccines, but Thanh Hoa is currently one of the lowest first-line vaccine coverage areas in vietnam.

In Phu Tho province in northern Vietnam, a total of 24 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in a single day on October 24.
