Smart was suspended for making threatening remarks against the referee

The NBA announced today that Celtic guard Marcus Smart was suspended for "threatening remarks to the referee on duty" in Wednesday's game against the Thunder.

Smart will miss today's Celtic home game against the Hornets, and the corresponding salary will be forfeited.

This season, Smart has averaged 13.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.5 steals for the Greens, and the Celtics are currently 32-30, ranking sixth in the East.

But the Celtics also had good news today, as Robert Williams, who has missed many games with a knee injury, will return from injury today. Jason Tatum is expected to play as well.
