New Characters in The Flash Season 2 Ten DC Comics characters are coming soon

We have seen "The Flash" broadcast on CW TV, following the name of the character in DC Comics, and it can be said that it is a record-breaking new drama premiere!

The Flash is also one of the few episodes that patiently introduces the fictional theories in the comics, such as Divine Speed, Multiple Timelines, Parallel Universes, and mysterious DC characters like Firestorm, Vibration Wave, and Captain Cold. The second season of the series will also include more DC footage from the comics Earth-2, such as Wally West, Jay Garrick, Hawkman, and Zoom.

This time, Time.com focuses on the ten DC Comics characters who appeared in the second season of "The Flash", and will introduce their origins and how they will appear on the TV screen.

1. Jay Garrick/Earth-2 The Flash (Teddy Sears)

Jay Garrick was the first character to appear in DC Comics under the name The Flash, during World War II in the 1940s. By 1956 DC Comics had reinvented many characters, including The Flash, replacing Jay with Barry Allen. However, by 1961, the two characters finally met, and they were from two different parallel universes, Barry was the Flash of Earth-1 and Jay was Earth-TWO. After several adventures together, Jay and Barry become mentors and friends. After Barry's unfortunate death in 1985's Infinite Earth Crisis, Jay trained Wally West as his successor. In the end, Bart Allen (Barry's grandson who crossed back from the future) was also trained to inherit the role.

Jay Garrick is also a justice society veteran of the American Justice Society, in fact, the Justice League of Earth-2. Unlike Barry, the way he gains his speed is by inhaling heavy water vapor when he is not wearing a mask, because he only wears a hat with golden wings (not a mask), and he has to make his face vibrate all the time, and others can't see his face. In new 52's DC Comics, Jay appears on Earth-2 as a 21-year-old college graduate, gaining superpowers from the dying Roman god Mercurina.

Fans of The Flash must have had a hunch that Jay Garrick was bound to appear in the final episode of the first season, in which his iconic winged metal hat flew out of the wormhole. Teddy Sears, who starred in Master Sex, will play Jay Garrick in season two, and we'll see him in Central City to warn Barry and his team of an imminent crisis that he can't stop. Whether it's based on the old Earth-2 or the new 52 Earth-2, Jay Garrick's version will have a conclusive conclusion.

2. Wally West/ The Lightning Boy (played by Keiynan Lonsdale)

Wally West wasn't the first Flash, but it's still a favorite for comic book fans. In several comics, Wally is the son of Rudolph and Mary West, and the nephew of Iris West, who is Barry Allen's wife. After gaining divine power, Wally becomes his uncle's assistant, the Lightning Boy, and a member of the Teen Titans. Eventually, in Infinite Earth Crisis, Barry sacrifices himself to save the world, and Wally takes over his mantle.

After his uncle's death, Wally joined the Justice League of the three Elders, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. He eventually married his longtime lover Linda Parker and had two children, Jay and Iris. For 20 years, Wally was the only Flash in the DC Universe until the advent of the New 52, which brought Barry back to life and seemed to wipe out Wally and his relatives at the same time. Wally only recently appeared in New 52, but was a big departure from the old version, returning to his teenage status and as African American, and dying in the events of the apocalyptic future.

Actor Keiynan Lonsdale (who starred in Divergent 2: Rebels) will play Wally West and will become a resident actor in the second season of The Flash. It's unclear where he will be positioned throughout the series, and whether he will gain superpowers. However, he will be involved with Joe and Iris, even if it is not mentioned that he will be Joe's other child, or that Iris has an extra nephew.

3. Jesse Chambers/Jesse Express (played by Violet Bean).

In the comics, Jesse Chambers is the daughter of superheroes Johnny Fastie and Liberty Bella (Elizabeth Chambers), both of whom belong to the Justice League Society. Jesse inherited her father's divine power and mother's infinite power, and followed her father's surname to become Jesse Express. Eventually, Jesse became Wally West's replacement for The Flash and became a member of the Teen Titans, Justice Society of America, and Justice League. Jesse later marries Rick Taylor (Shih Tzu) and inherits his mother's name as the New Liberty Bella.

In episode six of the second season of The Flash, actress Violet Bean will play Jesse Chambers. The only person we know about this character at the moment is that she is a college student and was abducted during the battle between The Flash and Professor Speed (the villain of the new season). Whether she inherited her parents' superpowers is still unknown, but since they all call her Jesse Kuaike, it proves that she still has the ability to speed.

4. Patti Spinwright (Shantel Van Sengten)

Patti Spinwright first entered the DC Universe when she was an aide to police scientist Barry Allen. After giving birth to Barry, she discovers that Barry is actually in love with Iris, so she moves out of Center City. In order to do something big, Patty became a hero and traveled to 3011. Upon arrival, she discovers that the timeline has been tampered with, and she travels back in time, sacrificing herself to save Barry. However, after the Flashpoint event, Barry created a new universe (New 52), which naturally brought Patty back to life. Not yet married to Iris, Barry is now in a relationship with Patti.

Actress Santel Van Sainten (who starred in "Death Is Coming") will join the second season of The Flash as a permanent character, Patti Spinwright. She will serve as Inspector West's new partner, specializing in tracking down superpowers. Similar to recent DC Comics, Spinwright will be interested in Barry, and the setting is similar to That of Green Arrow's Felicity Smook.

5. Carter Hall/ Hawkman (Falke Hunterschell)

There have been two Hawks in the DC Universe, Carter Hall and Qatar Hall, who are very similar. Carter Hall is an American archaeologist with the reincarnation of an ancient Egyptian prince. Through N Metal, he built anti-gravity belts and wings, earning the Eagle Man name. Qatar Hall is from Shanaga, basically a Cosmic X-Men, and has created a set of eagle-like armor out of N metal.

Later, a version of Carter Hall borrowed two origins, the Shanaga came to earth in ancient Egypt, and Carter's reincarnation as an Egyptian prince was accompanied by the Xanaga ability. The character's Carter and his Egyptian wife, Triaya, have been reincarnated many times and can always find true love for each other. In the recent New 52, Qatar Hall regained the Eagleman position in the DC Universe, using Carter Hall as a presumed identity. His origins have not yet been fully revealed, but it seems to be closer to the Xanagar version of the character, abandoning the Egyptian reincarnation of the storyline. Hawkman was an important member of the Justice League and the American Society of Justice.

At the end of the first season of The Flash, we catch a glimpse of Ciara Renee (who starred in Law & Order: Special Victims) as Candela Sanders, the Eagle Girl, which continues into DC's Legends of Tomorrow. In the comics, Candela is a descendant of Triaya, and after her suicide, Carter is convinced that Candela is the reincarnation of his beloved wife. Falke Huntschell (who starred in The Fall of the White House) will star as Carter Hall, and before joining Legends of Tomorrow, he and Renee will appear together in The Flash and Green Arrow. It seems to involve Hawkman's Egyptian origins, and Carter Hall, as the last reincarnation of an Egyptian prince, is destined to spend his life with true love Candela.

6. Ichiro Uemura / Dr. Hikari (actor unknown).

In DC Comics, Ichiro Uemura is the second Dr. Hikari and begins to become a hero. The character first appeared in Infinite Earth Crisis, the event of Barry Allen's death. While studying the crisis, Uemura gained the ability of the laser class and wanted to close an important vibrating fork.

After earning the title Dr. Light, she became a member of the Justice League and was active in the Justice League in Europe. The character will appear in an episode of the second season of The Flash, but it's not yet decided who will play it.

7. Tokamak (Demore Barnes).

First appearing in the Fury of fire comics, Henry Hewitt was the CEO of The Hammer Company before becoming the villain Tokamak. He has the ability to trap objects with energy rings, and can also squeeze them and even destroy structural integrity.

The character will debut as a live-action character in The Flash, starring Demore Barnes (who played The Secret Operations). The series features scientists who are affected by the explosion of a particle accelerator and invited by Caitlin Snow to join the S.T.A.R. Lab

8. Albert Rotstein/Atomic Accelerator (played by Adam Korpold)

In the DC Universe, Albert Rotstein is the godson of Al Pratt (the Atomic Man of the Golden Age) and the grandson of the supervillain Accelerator. After gaining the power of infinity and enlarging his physique, Albert decided to fight crime as nuclear energy, and was eventually called an atomic accelerator. Albert is a member of Infinity Corporation, Suicide Squad, Justice League, and justice Society of America. In the popular Justice Society of America storyline, Albert helps the villain Adam Black and is persuaded to cause multiple retaliatory murders for personal gain.

The character was finally mentioned in the first season of The Flash, also affected by the explosion of the particle accelerator. Albert Rottstein will first appear as a live-action in the second season, titled The Man Who Saved Center City. Wrestler Adam Korpold will play The Atomic Accelerator, a character positioned as the man who came to Central City to kill The Flash, a departure from the setting in the comics.

9. Vandal Savage (Casper Klemp).

One of the most dangerous villains in the DC Universe, Vandal Savage is a god-level figure who began to plague The Earth with crime and violence before recorded human history. Savage has been an enemy of the Justice Society and justice league for years, and more recently a member of the secret society of supervillains.

It was previously announced that Vandal Savage would be the main villain in DC's Legends of Tomorrow, and would be played by Casper Klemp. The character will first appear in The Flash, more like a few episodes linked to Green Arrow, leading to this spin-off. The TV version of Savage will be very similar to the version in the comics, a 6,000-year-old goblin who has manipulated many of the bosses in history in an attempt to seize hegemony in the world.

10. Dr. Rush (voiced by Tony Todd)

In the first season of The Flash, we met the comics' millennium villain, Albert Swann (played by Tom Gavana), also known as Dr. Rush or Reverse Lightning. Although he is never called Dr. Rush in the main series, he is still Barry Allen's sworn enemy in the comics. But the second season of The Flash was red, and Wally West also had his counter-lightning rival, named Hunter Solomon, who called himself Rush.

Beginning as a policeman, Hunter Solomon was a friend of Wally West's until he was injured by Gorilla Grodd and tried to heal himself with a cosmic treadmill, which turned out to be the next reverse lightning. Like his predecessors, Dr. Rush is obsessed with making Wally a better Flash and attempts to kill his wife to cause pain. Unlike Swan, Dr. Rush's abilities are not only speed, but also time manipulation. His signature trick is twisting his fingers to create shock waves in time rather than space.

Now that Swann is bento, the second season will naturally have Dr. Rush as the new villain. He also teamed up with Wally West and Jesse Quick, both of whom had a lot of entanglements with the villain. Veteran actor Tony Todd (who starred in The Legend of The Pursuit of Life) will play Dr. Rush, but will not appear on the screen in person. The producers used the analogy of "Darth Vader" to Dr. Rush, and you could hear the actor's signature voice behind the mask, but it would be actually played by another actor. Finally, remember that Dr. Rush is the new villain, but it's unclear if the producers will name him Hunter Solomon or someone else.
