Lee Jae-jin, a member of the South Korean boy band FTISLAND, joined the military today

Lee Jae-jin, a member of the South Korean boy band FTISLAND, will join the army today and begin his military service as an active soldier.

FTISLAND's brokerage company revealed that Lee Jae-jin will go through the formalities of joining the army today in the Army's Third Division Regiment Recruit Education Team in Chewon, Gangwon Province, and then serve as an active soldier after receiving five weeks of basic military training. Before joining the army, Lee Jae-jin will hold a simple farewell event near the training center to say goodbye to the fans who came to bid him farewell.

Lee signed a renewal agreement with two other FTISLAND members, Lee Hong-ki and Choi Min-hwan, in December last year, and the brokerage company said that FTISLAND's future activities would be decided after all three members had completed their military service.
