"I announce that the Sino-Russian 'Maritime Joint-2021' military exercise now begins!" On the afternoon of October 14, local time, the opening ceremony was held on the Nanchang warship of the Chinese and Russian navies and the new frigate "Loud". Rear Admiral Bai Yaoping, Chinese director and deputy commander of the Navy of the Northern Theater of operations of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, and Rear Admiral Cabantov, commander of the Fleet of the Coastal Mixed Zone of the Russian Navy's Pacific Fleet, delivered speeches through the communication system, and the joint exercise officially kicked off.

The Nanchang warship commanded by the Chinese formation is the "new face" of the joint series of maritime exercises; the ship is the first ship of the Type 055 10,000-ton destroyer independently developed by China, which has successively broken through a series of key technologies such as the overall design, information integration, and assembly construction of large ships, and is equipped with new air defense, anti-missile, anti-ship, and anti-submarine weapons, and has strong information perception, air defense, anti-missile, and sea-striking capabilities. The new type of warship has gone abroad, fully demonstrating the openness and self-confidence of the Chinese Navy.
In the past few days, Sun Xiangjie, an air sonar division of a certain helicopter regiment that accompanied the Nanchang warship on a mission, has been stepping up time to test equipment and make preparations for the upcoming tense drill. In the next few days, Sun Xiangjie's crew will fly an anti-submarine helicopter to carry out a joint anti-submarine subject exercise with the Russian military day and night. All the way to the waves, all the way to the quenching training. The formation of surface ships participating in the Chinese exercise this time has not been washed in the dust and the horses have not unloaded their saddles. In order to test the results of actual combat training, they left the port one after another in early October and arrived at Peter the Great Bay in Russia on October 13.
"Spot low-altitude fast targets!" On the evening of the 10th, a military port was cold and rainy. Soon after the Nanchang ship was untied, a combat alert was issued, and the main gun system, air defense system, missile system, and other combat units were on standby at full time, and the officers and men of the whole ship adhered to the battle position throughout the whole process.
On the night of the 11th, white waves rushed in the sea area of a certain meeting point, and the participating ships from different directions of the eastern, southern, and northern theater navies relied on the modular platform to share the situation, and the random formation entered a state of coordinated operations, and the joint training capability was fully tested.

On the 13th, during the process of organizing rapid replenishment at sea, the Kunming and Liuzhou ships quickly maneuvered to the left and right side of the supply formation and formed a three-dimensional tactical defense formation. According to reports, maritime supply is the most vulnerable and dangerous moment for warships, and "combat-style" supply makes maritime logistics support safer and more efficient.

Li Lie, commander of the Chinese formation, told reporters that the series of joint maritime exercises have become an interactive classroom for the Chinese and Russian navies to learn from each other and train troops in actual combat, and has also greatly promoted the continuous improvement of the ability of China and Russia to deal with maritime threats.
