Gong Xue was a first-line popular star in the 1980s, and she did not shoot many film and television dramas, only 15 in total, but many of them left a very deep impression on the audience. In 1984, his partner Zhang Tielin starred in the movie "Under the Bridge", and with his excellent acting skills, Gong Xue became the double film queen of the "Hundred Flowers Award" and the "Golden Rooster Award". After winning the double film in the same double award, it shows that her performance has been unanimously recognized by experts and audiences.

Gong Xue was once an actor in the General Political Drama Troupe, and in 1979, he filmed the feature film "Sacrifice red" for a long film, thus entering the film world. After that, he filmed "Good Things and Many Mills", "Pomegranate Flower", "Happy Bachelor", and "Zhang Heng". Her last film was 1993's "Stock Market Marriage".
In 1986, just when Gong Xue was in the ascendancy of his career, he was suddenly involved in a major hooligan case that shocked the whole country. In the mid-1980s, the Shanghai Public Security Bureau cracked down on a gang of hooligans led by Hu Xiaoyang and Chen Xiaomeng. According to the gang members, they claimed to be the children of high-ranking cadres, and then took the opportunity to carry out hooligan criminal activities under the pretext of introducing many women to work. Their so-called memoirs, which refused to be seized, recorded the names of more than 100 women, most of them from Shanghai's literary and art circles. They confessed that there was a popular star surnamed Gong. Therefore, everyone turned their attention to Gong Xue. Such rumors made Gong Xue, who had nothing to do with the case, utterly indefensible. In the face of the pressure of public opinion, she chose to quit the film industry, married Zhang Xun, a doctor who studied abroad, and in 1986, the couple both went to the United States and settled in Connecticut. Gong Xue wanted to go to a foreign country to calm herself and heal the deep damage caused to her by the so-called storm. Since then, a generation of film queens have begun to marry and teach their children and become a beautiful full-time wife.
But overseas, Gong Xue has always missed his hometown. So, unlike the stars who went abroad in the 1980s, after living in the United States for 20 years, she and her husband sold the Team Usa property and returned to Shanghai with their daughter.
Gong Xue, 68 years old, is currently the fifth director of the China Film Association. Her husband has a successful career and her daughter is 32 years old, studying graphic design and is an illustrator with her beloved profession. Today, although Gong Xue is nearly seventy years old, she is still beautiful and elegant, just like the name of a movie she has acted in- pomegranate flower.
