After graduating from university in 1992, she volunteered to work in the Kyzyl Caves, a remote ravine more than 800 kilometers away from Urumqi. For nearly 30 years, she has adhered to the frontline of cultural relics and has been engaged in the archaeology of cave temples for a long time. As the academic leader of Xinjiang Guizi Research Institute, in recent years, she has undertaken major projects of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and the National Social Science Foundation, and published dozens of papers.

Since 2002, she has repeatedly gone to museums and art galleries in relevant countries that collect cultural relics in Xinjiang, conducting field investigations, consulting archives, and obtaining materials, basically clarifying the situation of cultural relics of cave temples that have been lost overseas for hundreds of years. On the basis of fully grasping the lost cultural relics data, the murals of the grotto temple collected abroad are compared and conjugated with the existing caves, and the images of most of the caves in the Kyzyl Grottoes are restored. This is a meticulous and complex labor, but also a highly academic research practice. This work provides a relatively complete basic data for the academic community to study the Guizi Grottoes.
