Even after the planting time of the season has passed, Xu Wen still has "magic" - large-scale anti-seasonal production. Xuwen is close to the sea, and typhoons are frequent. Bananas used to be planted in the fall, but in order to avoid typhoons and ensure production, the planting period was advanced to April to June, and the harvest was carried out in March and June of the following year. This coincides with the off-season for other fruits, and the price of bananas helps growers to increase their income.

According to the information provided by the Xuwen Agricultural and Rural Bureau to the Times Weekly reporter, the current planting area of Xuwen bananas is about 190,000 mu, with a total output of about 570,000 tons and an annual output value of about 1.6 billion yuan; the pineapple planting area is about 350,000 mu, with a total output of about 700,000 tons, and the annual output value of pineapple fresh fruits is 1.5 billion yuan. In addition, Xuwen dragon fruit planting area of about 18,000 mu, the total annual output of about 54,000 tons, the annual output value of about 324 million yuan; lychee planting area of about 28,000 mu, the total annual output of about 15,000 tons, the annual output value of about 300 million yuan.

Although the climate of Xuwen is suitable for the growth and development of tropical fruits, until the mid-1980s, in addition to pineapples planted in pieces, other fruit varieties were still sporadically planted in front of the house and produced and sold.
In 2017, Xu Wen issued the Implementation Opinions on Further Accelerating the Development of the Tropical Fruit Industry (hereinafter referred to as the Opinions), proposing to divide the fruit industry layout into pineapples in the northeast region according to geographical location, climate characteristics, soil characteristics, water source conditions, fruit quality performance, industrial distribution, and market sales characteristics; bananas and papayas in the central region; and mangoes, lychees, longan, grapefruit, Taiwan lotus mist, and Taiwan jujubes in the western region.

The "Opinions" proposes to arrange special funds to try to plant new varieties of characteristic fruits; to provide credit services for the construction of characteristic fruit production bases and fruit processing enterprises; and to encourage farmers to plant fruits on a large scale by leading enterprises leading enterprises by leading enterprises for leading enterprises to engage in the construction of characteristic fruit bases and fruit processing.

"The insurance amount of Balinese varieties per mu is 5,000 yuan, the insurance amount of the Tainong series is 8,000 yuan per mu, and the insurance amount of golden pineapple is 10,000 yuan / mu." According to the relevant person in charge of agricultural insurance of PICC Property & Casualty Guangdong Branch, the amount of insurance varies from variety to variety, but the insurance premium is unified at 450 yuan per mu, and the insurance cycle is 18 months.

It is reported that most of the premiums of policy-based pineapple output insurance are borne by finances at all levels. For example, farmers who grow Balinese varieties can get a 70% premium subsidy, and farmers who grow Tainong series and golden pineapples can get up to 85% of the premium subsidy.

Since 2019, Xuwen and enterprises have developed xuwen pineapple big data system, aiming to build a bridge between fruit farmers and buyers and find buyers for fruits. In 2020, the pineapple big data system has been put into use.
Lin Caifu, director of telemarketing of Guangdong Pineapple Group, who undertakes the above work, introduced to the Times Weekly reporter that the pineapple big data system can enter the planting situation of Xuwen pineapple, including planting area, planting time, first and second topdressing time, fruit release time, listing area, etc. When the buyer has a purchase demand, the company will introduce the buyer to connect with the fruit farmers who meet the requirements, so as to promote the success of pineapple sales.

At present, the system has entered 15,700 farmer data, 10,500 national fruit market stall data, and 4,486 fruit e-commerce data on the whole network, completing the collection of big data in seven townships and towns, covering more than two-thirds of xuwen county's growers, and it is expected that the planting data will increase to 21,800 households in 2021.
With the help of big data, 2315 pineapple buyers directly connected with Xuwen fruit farmers in 2020. Among them, there are 72 buyers who have carried out in-depth cooperation in the production area, selling about 1500 tons of bulk pineapples; 108 have guided cooperation and sold about 9000 tons.
As a treasure of Xu Wen, the fruit is no longer difficult to come out because of the long distance.
In the major e-commerce platforms, fruit wholesale markets across the country, fruit stalls, you can find the hottest Xuwen pineapple, fruit farmers are no longer suffering from fruit slow sales. Xuwen's economy is also thriving due to the fruit industry, and rural revitalization is in full swing.
It is reported that in the future, Xuwen will gradually promote the pineapple e-commerce system and make it not only applied to pineapple, but also cover all agricultural products including fruits.
