On March 2nd, the opening ceremony of Hengyang No. 2 Middle School in the spring of 2021 was held on the school basketball court, Vice President Hu Yi presided over the ceremony, and more than 2,000 teachers and students gathered on the basketball court to sow spring and cultivate the future.

Looking back on 2020, China's anti-epidemic struggle has demonstrated the Chinese spirit, Chinese strength and Chinese responsibility, and fully demonstrated the leadership of the Communist Party of China and the remarkable advantages of China's socialist system. 2021 is the centenary of the Communist Party of China, as the successor of the socialist cause in the new era, we must polish the background of struggle: study history clearly and rationally, cast the soul of faith; study history to increase trust, stimulate the aspirations of talents; learn history to revere morality, assume the responsibility of inheritance; study history to practice, and consolidate the foundation of ideals.
President Yang wished that in the new year, the people of the Second Middle School used the optimism of "the Red Army is not afraid of expeditions and difficulties, and thousands of rivers and mountains are just waiting for idleness" and the pride of "Xiongguan Mandao is really like iron, and now he is stepping forward from the beginning", pointing out the rivers and mountains, stirring up words, and writing down several big characters in the history of the Second Middle School: "Count the popular figures, but also look at the present dynasty"!
Teacher Liu Yawen of the third grade made a wonderful speech with the theme of "cherishing the time and striving to be the first", expressing her ardent expectations for the second middle school students, and she hoped that the students would have the courage to challenge, seriously devote themselves, abide by the bottom line, and be the best self.
