Where is Gokhara Riju?
The Gokala Riju Mountains are the eastern extension (remnant) of the Ganges Mountains, on the north side of the Brahmaputra River, west to Gacha County, Lhasa, etc., and the eastern section to the southwest of Bayi District (formerly Nyingchi County) in the Nyingchi region. Spanning 800 miles, riding across the Nyingchi, Shannan, and Lhasa regions, it is the watershed of the Brahmaputra River and its tributary, the Niyang River-Lhasa River.
Gokalariju Mountains
In this 800-mile area, there are six peaks with an altitude of more than 6,000 meters, namely: Kari Ganbu at an altitude of 6,092 meters, Larigo at an altitude of 6,100 meters, Dodok Dosakushi at an altitude of 6,286 meters, Sloanlang at an altitude of 6,132 meters, Yedong Lari at an altitude of 6,010 meters, and Nianjiu (quoted from "7556" at an altitude of 6,060 meters).
The eastern part of the mountain range is close to the Grand Canyon of the Brahmaputra River, affected by the warm and humid air flow of the Indian Ocean, with more rainfall and more lush vegetation. The further west you go, the rainfall and vegetation gradually decrease.
