Adaptation pursues the essence
Pin Guan said that after flying alone from MUJI, he has produced nearly 200 songs, but not every song can become a classic like "Palm". He believes that maintaining a calm attitude is the most important: "Many songs belong to the boat crossing the water without a trace, but I don't think that writing songs should be intentional. According to the model of the explosion to copy, to build, the result may not be satisfactory, so it is better to go back to themselves and play the parts that they are best at. This time re-interpretation of "Palm", Pinguan hopes that this old song can maintain the original taste of the old time: "When I discussed with the music teachers how to adapt, the most important point was that the original arrangement structure could not be moved, but the string part could be richer and more distinct. It's a challenge to change without losing your true colors. ”
Nowadays, the figure and voice are still well maintained, and he does not shy away from the problem of age, and even uses "nearly half a hundred years old" to describe himself. As a father of two children, he began to have a vague sadness about the separation that growing up would bring: "When they were three or four years old, I was a little selfish, and I didn't even want them to touch other people's music, just listen to my songs, and let their music world only look like dad." 」 But then it turns out that the world of small children is big.
