Le Yi column twenty
This chapter mainly tells the story of Zhao Guoxian Chen Leyi.
Le Yi was a native of wei. Talented, military-minded.

King Yan Zhao was bullied by the State of Qi and hated the State of Qi very much. The King of Yan then bowed to himself and lied to him. It just so happened that Le Yi was envoying to the Yan Kingdom. The King of Yan treated him kindly and hired him. He promised the Yan King.
Le Yi besieged the State of Qi and captured more than seventy cities in the State of Qi in five years. Only two cities remain (Ju [jǔ] and Jimo). At this time, King Yan Zhao died and King Hui of Yan succeeded to the throne.
King Yanhui did not like Le Yi. He also listened to the rumors of tian dan, a famous general of the State of Qi, saying that Le Yi left two cities not to be captured, either because of his ability or because he was preparing to become a king himself. King Hui of Yan immediately patted another general in place of Le Yi.
Le Yi knows that changing generals before the battle is not well intentioned. So he surrendered to the Zhao state. King Zhao favored Leyi. No country dared to bully Zhao Guo.
However, after Yan Guo lost Le Yi, Qi Guo went to bully him again. The King of Yan knew that it was not good to live without Le Yi, and he wrote to Le Yi again, asking him to return to the Yan Kingdom.
There is a passage in Le Yi's reply letter that is well written, and he rejected the Yan King with the story of Wu Zixu:
Therefore, it has been handed down that "the King of Yan was in the middle of the world, and the newspaper was empty".
When the leader must be able to identify talents, use talents well! In this regard, I think Liu Bei is a textbook-level example!
