Baoding Gaoyang "Huiyun Opera Cultural Square" was completed and put into use

Baoding, 15 Oct (People's Daily Online) On October 14, the "Huiyun Opera Cultural Square" named after the famous opera artist Mr. Zhang Huiyun was completed and opened in Bozhuang Village, Gaoyang County, Baoding City. At the scene, Zhang Huiyun's disciples took the stage to perform and presented a wonderful opera performance.

It is understood that Gaoyang County is known as the hometown of opera, and the opera culture has a long history, giving birth to a large number of performing artists such as Gai Mingtian, Tian Jiyun, Han Shichang, and Zhang Huiyun.

Mr. Zhang Huiyun (1940 - July 5, 2021), a native of Dr. Zhuang Village, Gaoyang County, is a national first-class actor, the winner of the 3rd Plum Blossom Award, the founder of "Hebei Zizi Zhang Pai Art", and the representative inheritor of national intangible cultural heritage. From more than 70 years of art, she has starred in more than 60 opera works such as "Qin Xianglian", "Butterfly Cup", "White Snake Biography", "Mu Guiying Hanging Commander", "Overnight Flower Pavilion", "Spring and Autumn Match", "Peacock Flying Southeast", "Honghu Red Guard", "Wang Baojun", "Playing Jiaozan" and so on.

It is reported that Huiyun Xiqu Cultural Square covers an area of 1500 square meters, the walls around the square are themed on opera, and the walls are painted with xiqu faces, opera fragments and Mr. Zhang Huiyun's artistic profile, totaling 485 square meters. (Zhang Jihang, Yang Yan)
