Chess Movie Recommendation (02): Journey of the King

Today I will continue to recommend a few chess-themed movies for all of you. I believe that after reading it, everyone will be more interested in chess!

Josh (Max Pomeranc) is an ordinary and ordinary American boy who, one day, plays chess with his father Fred (Joe Mantegna) and miraculously defeats his experienced father. After that, Josh participated in the Open Chess Tournament, showing amazing talent all the way through the level. His parents decided to train Josh to become a talented chess player.

One day, a man named Vinnie (Laurence Fishburne) shows up next to Josh, and over time, the two form a deep friendship. Meanwhile, the parents approached a respected Go teacher, Bruce (Ben Kingsley), to mentor Josh. However, it wasn't long before Josh grew tired of the boring life of sitting at the chessboard day after day, and he began to protest in various ways, deliberately losing the game, so that his parents' high hopes for him to win the national championship were in vain...
