The Lakers announced today that young guard Taren Horton Tucker has successfully completed surgery to repair a tear in the ulnar collateral ligament of the right thumb and will be re-evaluated in about four weeks.
Tucker just renewed his contract with the Lakers for $30.78 million for three years this summer, after averaging 12.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in preseason games.
There have been previous reports that Tucker may be sidelined for 8-12 weeks due to this injury.
