Li Hanlin's name is Li Zhong'e (太常寺少卿 李钟峨 – share Bazhong), the character Xueyuan, the early Qing Dynasty Tongjiang Jiuyuxi Guo Jiaping people. According to legend, they were originally classmates, and one year when they went to Beijing to take the exam, Xie Xian realized that Li Zhong'e would definitely become a Hanlin in the future, but he had no hope of fame, so he went home to the Chicken Top Temple to cultivate. Xie Xian had been cultivating at the top of the chicken for nine years, and the Dao had been cultivated. At this time, he wanted to surpass Li Hanlin into immortality.

One day, he decided that Li Zhong'e would go home, and he dressed up as a white-bearded old man next to him. Li Hanlin said hello to him and sat down to rest. Xie Xian took out two chaff steamed buns from his pocket, one for Li Hanlin and one for himself. Li Hanlin didn't want to, and said, "You are so old, why do you eat such a bran bun?" Xie Xian said, "I'm hungry." Li Hanlin sat for a while and then said, "This chaff bun is too thick, you don't want to eat it!" Xie Xian handed him another chaff bun and said, "I'm hungry in my stomach."

Li Hanlin did not want to touch the chaff and got up and arched his hand and left. He took a few steps, and he suddenly remembered his classmate Xie Chunqing, and remembered that he originally had a name called Li Ji. At this time, I suddenly realized: Could it be that Xie Chunqing's cultivation was successful, and now come to me? Think of it, where is there any old man.

This time it didn't work out, and Xie Xian thought of a second way. One day, he pretended to be a beggar, with a large pustule on his stomach, and came to the courtyard where Li Hanlin lived, shouting in succession; "Who licks my belly, who licks my belly?" Li Hanlin came out to take a look, went into the house and said to the maid, "Scoop him a bowl of rice!" The servant brought the food and begged for it, or the words: "Who licks my belly?" The maid came into the house and said to Li Hanlin, "Don't ask for food." Li Hanlin gave money, begging for mouths or not.

The four words "Tiankaipudu" that exist on the top of the chicken are said to have been carved by Xie Dao

Li Hanlin thought: This is very strange, not begging for food, not asking for money. Only then did I realize that "who licked my belly" could not be a hidden word. Li Hanlin listened to the servant talk about the matter of begging for his son to go away, and he regretted it again.

Xie Xian was unsuccessful for the second time, so he thought of a third way. He wrote a post inviting Li Hanlin to the Chicken Top Temple as a guest, and on this day he came to the Chicken Top, and Xie Xian took him to the temple to eat tea, and then said that he was going to cook rice.

Li Hanlin drank tea for a while and then watched in the various halls of the temple. When he turned to the back kitchen, he saw Xie Xian crouching on the stove in the distance, pulling from one pot on one side and [xǐng] snot in the other. The luncheon feast was very sumptuous, but Li Hanlin threw the dishes under the table to feed the chickens and dogs.

After eating, Li Hanlin knew that Xie Xian's painting was good, so he took out a treasure fan given by the emperor and asked Xie Xian to paint, only to see him waving a random dance on the treasure fan, which looked like a circle dot, Xie Xian finished painting, folded the fan, wrapped it in paper, and said: "You should not open this fan for the time being, and then open it to use when you see the emperor."

The finger of the chicken top is the cliff

Li Hanlin put away the fan and resigned, and Xie Xian did not keep it. Walking out of the temple door, I saw a group of chickens and dogs kowtowing to themselves unceasingly, and then climbed up the hinoki tree and drifted away into the air. Li Hanlin thought that xie xian was asking him for the fa, and he ignored it.

Moreover, when Li Hanlin returned to the palace, Li Hanlin took the treasure fan, and when the discussion was almost over, he gently opened the treasure fan and slapped it three times, and suddenly the plum fragrance in the palace was fragrant. The emperor asked busily, "Which Aiqing opened the treasure?" Li Hanlin hurriedly prostrated his head and said, "This is the treasure fan given to Aiqing by the Lord, and I asked my old classmate Xie Chunqing to paint." Kangxi said, "This man has simply become a god."

Xie Xianzheng needed such a gift from the emperor. As soon as the emperor's voice fell, Xie Xian rose in the air and flew slowly towards Tai Void. But what he couldn't forget before he flew away was that he couldn't take a classmate like Li Hanlin away. He dropped a note in the air and said: "Hinoki blossoms, Xie Dao goes home; Tell Zhong E that there is nothing else in the heart. ”
