Robinson's $2 million contract isn't fully guaranteed, and the Kings chose to lay it off before the deadline, leaving the team with a free bench to use to reinforce.
In 23 games for the Kings this season, Robinson averaged 16 minutes per game, averaging 5.3 points and 2 rebounds and shooting 36.4 percent from three-point range. In addition, the recent excellent performance of second-year wing Jeffries is also one reason why the Kings can safely cut Robinson.
