According to the announcement of the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People's Congress on September 24, the Standing Committee of the Bijie Municipal People's Congress decided to accept Chen Ping's resignation as a deputy to the 13th People's Congress of Guizhou Province. In accordance with the relevant provisions of the Law of the People's Republic of China on Deputies to the National People's Congress and Local People's Congresses at All Levels, Chen Ping's qualifications as a deputy were terminated.

Just on September 23, the Standing Committee of the Bijie City People's Congress announced that Comrade Chen Ping, a representative of the Second People's Congress of Bijie City elected by Dafang County, applied to resign as a deputy to the Second People's Congress of Bijie City. On September 23, 2020, the 33rd meeting of the Standing Committee of the 17th People's Congress of Dafang County decided to accept his resignation. Chen Ping, female, born in February 1974, Yi ethnicity, Guizhou Qianxi people, joined the work in August 1994, joined the party in June 1994, bachelor's degree in culture, graduated from the Central Party School majoring in party and government management.

She served as the secretary and chairman of the party group of the Bijie Women's Federation, the deputy director of the United Front Work Department of the Bijie Municipal Party Committee, the director of the Municipal Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee, and in 2016, she became the deputy secretary of the Dafang County Party Committee and the county magistrate.

At the beginning of September this year, the State Office of Supervision and Inspection reported that Dafang County had been in arrears in teachers' salary subsidies since 2015, and as of August 20, 2020, a total of 479.61 million yuan was owed to teachers' performance wages, living allowances, five social insurances and one fund, and 341.94 million yuan of special education funds allocated by the superiors were misappropriated. At the same time, it was found that In the name of promoting the reform of supply and marketing cooperatives, Dafang County initiated the establishment of a financing platform company to absorb funds in violation of the law, disguised as forcing teachers to deposit shares, and intercepting living subsidies for students in difficulty.
