Xiapu County Township (Street) Women's Federation Transition Pilot Observation Meeting was held in Beibi Township

On October 15, 2021, the 2021 Xiapu County Township (Street) Women's Federation Transition Pilot Observation Meeting and the Tenth Women's Congress of Beibi Township were solemnly held in our township. Yu Changke, deputy director of the Organization Department of the county party committee, Wang Wenhui, chairman of the county women's federation, and chairmen of the township (street) women's federations attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Yu Changke, deputy director of the Organization Department of the county party committee, congratulated the convening of the meeting. He stressed: At present and for some time to come, it is a period of important strategic opportunities for Xiapu to accelerate its development and also an important strategic opportunity period for promoting the development of women's causes.

Later, Chairman Wang Wenhui affirmed the work of the Beibi Township Women's Federation in the past five years and put forward three expectations for the future work of the Women's Federation of our township: First, we must attach importance to the construction of family virtues and lead the broad masses of women to show their advantages in cultivating and practicing the core socialist values; second, we must promote the development of women and lead the vast number of women to make great achievements in the construction of rural revitalization; third, we must give prominence to the building of grass-roots organizations and lead the broad masses of women to make great achievements in participating in social management innovation.

The congress also heard, deliberated and adopted the report made by the Ninth Executive Committee of the Beibi Township Women's Federation, and elected 21 members of the 10th Executive Committee of the Beibi Township Women's Federation, including 1 chairman and 3 vice chairmen.

The change of grass-roots women's federation organizations is the first time after the reform of the women's federation that the "two committees" of townships (streets) and villages (communities) have been replaced simultaneously, and the Xiapu County Women's Federation has taken Beibi Township as a pilot to organize the township (street) women's federations to observe, exchange and study the election procedures for the change of term. It is hoped that grass-roots women's federation organizations at all levels will actively seek the support of local party organizations, further strengthen the leading bodies of women's federations at the township (street) and village (community) levels through the change of term, further adjust and optimize the ranks of executive committees, improve the overall quality and ability of executive committees to perform their duties, and ensure the successful completion of the work of changing the term of office.
