Physicochemical properties: Chemical name 8,10-dodecanadien-1-ol; molecular formula C12H22O; relative molecular weight 182.3; structural formula see Figure 1. Apple beetle moth pheromone volatilization core is an insect pheromone biochemical pesticide, which is a synthetic 8,10-dodecanadien-1-ol (the same sex pheromone secreted by the female apple beetle moth in nature in chemical structure and function) processed by a special process (Figure 2). The product has a slow release function, in the orchard and other application scenarios slowly and long-term release of apple beetle moth sex pheromone, the apple beetle moth male moth has a strong fanatic effect, interfere with male and female mating, reduce larval occurrence, to achieve the purpose of control. Toxicity: 8,10-dodecadiene-1-alcohol for rats acute transoral toxicity LD50 (female/male) >5,000 mg/kg, rat acute perdermal toxicity LD50 (female/male) > 2,000 mg/kg, rat acute inhalation toxicity LC50 (female/male) > 2,000 mg/m3, no irritation to the eyes of New Zealand white rabbits, mild irritation to the skin of New Zealand white rabbits, and weak sensitizers to guinea pigs' skin. According to China's pesticide toxicity grading standards, this product is low toxicity. When the low-toxicity original drug is made into a preparation, it must be loaded into an environmentally friendly PVC tube sealed at both ends to achieve product function, so that the production process and application form are not easy to contact or directly exposed to the natural environment, and the toxicity risk that can be generated is extremely low.
Environmental biosafety evaluation: Apple beetle moth sex pheromone is a sexual pheromone that imitates the secretion of female moths of apple beetle moth (Lepidoptera), with the same structure and function, and belongs to low toxicity insect sex pheromone products. When it is made into an effective formulation, it must be loaded in a specific sustained-release device, with very limited exposure to the natural environment, minimal exposure, and extremely low probability of being accessible to other organisms, so the associated environmental risks are extremely low. After searching, the Pest Management Agency in China and internationally, including the US Environmental Protection Agency, Health Canada and other pest authorities and the relevant regulatory authorities in the European Union, have never received reports of registered chemical pheromones for arthropod sexual infatuation adversely affecting human health and terrestrial/aquatic animals. Therefore, from the principle of the product, the production process, the use mode, and the application scenarios, it is shown that the environmental biosecurity of the product is better.
Application: Apple beetle moth sex pheromone volatilization core is artificially synthesized apple beetle moth sex pheromone as the original drug processed by a special process, which plays a fanatic role for male apple beetle moths, reduces the number of mating, reproduction or spawning, and effectively prevents the occurrence of apple beetle moth infestations. Each product contains 220 mg of the original drug, the appearance of the product is black, closed at both ends of the 200 mm long ring double tube. When applied in the field, the target pest is the apple beetle moth, which is inactive to other insects and organisms, and should be hung in 1/3 of the canopy of the west or south of the fruit tree before flowering, and the original drug 8,10-dodecadiene-1-ol is wrapped in a PVC tube and will not be directly exposed or exposed to the natural environment.
