In the UK, paddington bears are absolutely unrivaled in popularity. The British princess danced with it, the princes bowed to him, and every English child's childhood would have a Paddington bear. Many people joke that the UK has 3 major IPs: Shakespeare, Agatha, and Paddington.
Adapted from Michael Bond's fairy tale, the film tells the story of a young bear who travels thousands of miles from Peru to London, but gets lost at Paddington Station in London, meets a human family at the lost and found office, and eventually becomes a member of the family.
In the second part, Paddington Bear will encounter new enemies, and "big coffee" Hugh Grant will also join in, playing a "drama master" in the film. In addition to Paddington himself, his aunt would also come to London for a wonderful encounter.
But, there's more to paddington than you know.
1. "Paddington Bear" once set a record for the highest box office
The first "Paddington Bear" was grossed $250 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing home film in history. In 2014, it was one of the highest-grossing films in Ireland and the first time in 10 years that the British Film Institute had nominated a family film.
2. Paddington Bear was inspired by a bear on a bookshelf
On Christmas Day 1956, McBond, author of Paddington Bear, found a cub on paddington platform. Bond bought the bear and gave it to his wife. Since then, the bear has been the source of this story. The first part of Paddington Bear tells the story of a bear and the Brown family who are left behind on the Paddington platform. In just 10 days, Bond completed the first book. On October 13, 1958, "A Bear Named Paddington" was officially published. The film is also adapted from the book.
3. Jeremy Clarkson: The first to own paddington bear toys
The first person in the world to own paddington bear toys was host Jeremy Clarkson. Clarkson's parents own a small workshop. In 1972, his mother built a model and gave this one to Jeremy. He has since received 12 more. Currently, many Paddington bear toys are valuable collectibles.
4. No one can find the home of paddington bears
In the film, Paddington Bear and the Brown family live at 32 Windsor Park in London, but Windsor Park has never had 32, so fans have always regretted this.
5. Paddington Bear is actually a "cultural bond"
Paddington bears have been a cultural symbol for years. When Paddington Station was officially built in 1994, British railroad workers sent a Paddington bear to their French counterparts.
6. There are 50 bronze statues of Paddington worldwide
There are a total of 50 bronze statues of Paddington around the world, many of which are exactly the same height as real bears.
7. Big-Eyed Daddy will voice him
In the original Paddington Bears, Collingforce was first contacted, but because of the schedule, it was eventually changed to Ben Weshao. The Mandarin version will be voiced by Du Jiang for Paddington Bear. Du Jiang said that he would take his son Qiqi to watch the film together.
