The Sichuan-Tibet Highway Museum is located in Wenjiang District, Chengdu, and is divided into six exhibition areas, including historical choices, long songs of heavenly roads, and passing on the torch. The museum displays old and new photos of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, road construction tools, etc., and the panoramic view shows the construction process of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway.
Lei Lei, a student of Sichuan Transportation Vocational and Technical College: These old photos made me understand the people and things that built the Sichuan-Tibet Highway more than 70 years ago, and also learned about their arduous spirit in the process of building the Sichuan-Tibet Highway, which can be said to have deeply shocked me.
The Sichuan-Tibet Highway runs from Chengdu in the east to Lhasa in the west. Beginning in April 1950, 110,000 People's Liberation Army and engineering and technical personnel split the cliffs and cliffs, surrendered the Dangerous River, and opened the northern line of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway to traffic in 1954, and the southern line was completed in 1969. It has forged the "two roads" spirit of not being afraid of suffering and death, stubbornly fighting, being willing to be a road stone, and the unity of the military and the people and the national unity.
Zhao Zhipeng, deputy secretary of the party committee of Sichuan Road and Bridge Group: Sichuan's traffic construction originated from the Sichuan-Tibet Highway at the earliest. In the past 70 years, under the inheritance of the spirit of "two roads", we have passed on the traffic construction of Sichuan from shu road difficult to Shu road to future Shu road smooth.
