About the author: Known as the painter of the horse, the real name is Yu Hongwen. Since quitting his job in 2012, he has been working hard every day, starting from copying Xu Beihong's master Ma, gradually getting started, and now creating countless forms of matu, participating in many provincial art exhibitions, and attracting attention and praise in the calligraphy and painting circles. On display today is the result of his many years of perseverance.

Good morning, everyone! At the foot of Foshan, on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, we gathered in the beautiful spring city of Jinan to celebrate the opening of the exhibition of Director Hong Wen's works. On behalf of the Shandong Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Committee, I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations on the grand opening of Director Yu Hongwen's solo exhibition! I would like to express my warm welcome to all the old leaders, old comrades and friends from all walks of life to visit the exhibition! I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to everyone for their long-term strong support for Shandong's ethnic and religious work!
Comrade Yu Hongwen is a veteran leader of our committee, who served as director of the Shandong Provincial Ethnic Affairs Commission and director of the Provincial Religious Affairs Bureau for ten years, and has both rich practical experience and profound theoretical attainments, and has made outstanding contributions to the cause of national unity and progress, religious harmony, and stability in the province.
Director Yu likes calligraphy and painting since childhood, especially likes to paint horses, and after retirement, he insists on immersing himself in copying, field observation, eclecticism, and pen cultivation, and gradually forms his own style of painting horses, which embodies the unswerving and persistent pursuit of a retired old man and the spiritual realm of living to and learning from the old. His works have participated in many provincial painting exhibitions, been published in some online media and newspapers, and won praise from experts. The "Centennial Birthday, Ten Thousand Horses Soaring - Celebrating the Centenary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China • Painting Ma Weng Yu Hongwen Works Exhibition" selects some of the works created by Director Yu Hongwen in recent years, and compares the CPC's centennial struggle course with four special topics, such as leaping up, resistance, hard work, and galloping, vividly embodying a retired cadre's sincere dedication to ideals and beliefs and the continuous inheritance of the red gene.
Dear leaders and distinguished guests, looking back on the magnificent century-old history of the Communist Party of China, it is like a horse galloping with its head held high, going forward and bravely moving forward. Standing at the historical intersection of the "two hundred years" goal, we must carry forward the spirit of Ryoma, bravely gallop and forge ahead.
