The one-legged play "The Laughter of Shikumen", which has been performed more than 100 times offline, will be on the TV program of the National Day file. At 9:00 p.m. on October 1, Oriental Satellite TV will broadcast a special program for National Day - the real-life Haipai comedy "The Laughter of Shikumen". This is the first time that Oriental Satellite TV has tried to launch a "full Shanghainese" work, presenting the "speaking and singing" in burlesque dramas in a tv-based and contextualized form.
It is reported that the one-hour program will be based on the offline theater "The Laughter of Shikumen", with a total of seven to eight sitcoms, the program will combine the traditional Shanghai one-legged play with the Xinhai school comedy, starring the audience's beloved "Adego" Mao Mengda and his old partner Shen Ronghai.

Since its premiere in September 2018, "The Laughter of Shikumen" has been full of performances, and the Shanghai audience has relived shanghai's urban traditions and context from Mengda and Shen Ronghai's "talking, learning and singing" on food, clothing, housing and transportation, and feels more intimate and joyful. This time, the TV program also involves Shanghai culture, Shanghai manufacturing, Shanghai service, Shanghai shopping, Shanghai's "four major brands". From the hairy crabs eaten in the neighborhood of Shikumen to the cheongsam with constantly renovated styles, the works show the changes in shanghai's trajectory along the way.
The Shanghainese language will run through the performance of Mao Mengda and Shen Ronghai, the original life atmosphere of Shanghai Well, and the charm of the Shencheng regional dialect, which will be displayed in the performance of the two people singing together. "Eating crab without ginger, things have to be stiff", "eating crab without sugar, the heart is empty", "Huating silk, beautiful silk, polyester sticky silk, polyester silk", "Jiading grapes, Songjiang perch, Zhujiajiao's hoof fat, Nanxiang's small cage", "eat the head of the row", "Take the difference head"... All kinds of things about Shanghainese food, clothing, shelter and transportation will be reflected in this hourly program.
It is worth mentioning that, unlike theater performances, this TV show has the characteristics of various forms such as cross-talk, sketch TV series, and small movies. The program breaks the studio recording mode and interprets the classic Shencheng story in The real scene of Fengxian in Shanghai. The opening scene is led by music, adding the sound of shouting and selling left in the last century and the sound elements of modern urban life, and the two protagonists interpret the scene of Shikumen morning and string together into a "Shikumen Concerto".
The program producers hope to show the scenery and urban changes of Shanghai's metropolis through live-action shooting and music interpretation, and explore the memory of Shanghai.
