(Reporter Zhao Binyan) In order to inherit the red gene, on the afternoon of July 13, the summer college students of the School of Fine Arts and Design of Huaihua University "Three Going to the Countryside" practice group went to the Zhang Kun Martyrs Monument in Jinxi Village, Zhongfang County. Under the monument, Yang Fenyong, secretary of the party committee of Jinxi Village, told the heroic story of the martyr Zhang Kun to the members of the practice group, and the members of the practice group relived the oath of joining the party under the Zhang Kun martyr monument. After the ceremony, some members of the practice group visited two veteran party members under the leadership of Yang Fenyong, secretary of the party committee of Jinxi Village. Two veteran party members welcomed the arrival of the members of the practice group. Party member Yang Siqiu is nearly 92 years old and has nearly 60 years of party experience. In 1950, he participated in the first batch of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and also served as the secretary of the jinxi village branch. Grandpa Yang told the members of the practice group about his combat experience, experience in joining the party, work experience, and small things in family life. After the conversation, Grandpa Yang showed his 50-year party badge.

Another veteran party member, Yang Shengwen, who participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea in the second half of 1950, was not so tough, and his daughter told the members of the practice group about Yang Shengwen's combat experience in his youth. At the time of farewell, Yang Shengwen's grandfather's granddaughter also brought a song and dance "Listen to Me Say Thank You" to the members of the practice group.
In a burst of laughter, the condolence activities of the practice group ended, "We must study hard and repay the society in the future!" Before leaving, the two veteran party members gave deep instructions to the members of the practice group.
