It is reported that the 20th anniversary selection of the complete collection "Yuzu iroha 1997-2017" has a total of three CDs, including 50 songs. Including the summer classic song "Summer Color", the Olympic theme song "Bridge of Glory", the Japanese insurance advertising song "Rainbow", and the NHK morning novel series "Rain Over the Sky", 34 of the 50 songs are popular songs that everyone is familiar with. Each album will feature a song performed by Yuzu in collaboration with other popular Japanese groups, namely Bio Chief, Back Number, and SEKAI No OWARI.
Yuzu Band
Yuzu (ゆず) is a Japanese duo from Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, formed in March 1996 by Yuhito Kitagawa and Atsuharu Iwasawa. All of their songs are written and composed by the two themselves, and participate in the arrangement of most of the songs, spanning pop, rock, country, mostly fresh winds, in recent years there is a trend to increase the use of electronic music. Representative works include the famous songs "Summer Color", "桜会", "from", "Hey He", "Rainbow", "with you", "栄光の架桥", "逢いたい", "Tomorrow's Day 気になぁれ", "REASON" and so on.
After the group was founded in March 1996, it performed street performances every Sunday in Ise Sagi town, Yokohama City, and released its first mini album "Yuzu No Gen" (ゆずの素) in October of that year. In June 1998, the first single "Summer Color" was released, and in July, the first album "Yuzu Family" (ゆず家) became famous. The last street performance on August 30 attracted about 7,500 fans in the face of a direct typhoon, and the Yuzu band promoted street performances to become a social phenomenon in Japan. Last year, Yuzu held her first overseas concert tour, performing four times in Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan from July 9 to August 3.
