Jin Shengsi's original name was Jin Cai, the character Ruocai, after the fall of the Ming Dynasty, changed his name to RenRui, his ancestral home was Wu County, Suzhou, was a famous literary scholar and literary critic at that time. Before his death, Jin Shengsi commented on books such as "Water Margin", "Xi Xiang Ji", and "Zuo Chuan", so that the novel opera and traditional classical poetry went hand in hand, and it can be said that Jin Shengsi occupies an important position in the history of Chinese literature.
In the 18th year of Shunzhi, due to the serious corruption of Wuxian County, Jin Shengsi led the local Xiucai to weep and pay homage in front of the Temple of Literature, and when the Shunzhi Emperor had died, the Qing court believed that the actions of the Xiucai had violated the spirit of the Shunzhi Emperor, so they imprisoned these readers for the crime of "great disrespect".
The imperial court issued an edict to "decide to behead Jin Shengsi and other sentient beings without distinction", which is what we know as the waist beheading. According to historical records, Jin Shengsi had calmly drunk the severed head wine before leaving, shouting with great joy, and seemed to have no fear of the impending death. After Jin Shengsi's death, the local Wensheng collected his bones and buried him in the Doctor's Dock under the Wufeng Mountain in Wuxian County, and since then, many literati of the past dynasties have worshipped and sighed in front of the tomb. As a generation of people, Jin Shengsi died a pity indeed.
Wufeng Mountain is located in the southwest suburbs of Suzhou, and its mountain has five peaks, hence the name. The Ming "Gu Su Zhi" once made a detailed record of the "Five Peaks": "Xiaobaiyang Mountain, a Fulong Mountain, in the south of Jinjingwu, beyond the mountains, the mountain site used to have a heart, and it is now abandoned." In March 1937, the Battle of Songhu broke out, and in order to prepare for a long-term occupation of Suzhou, the Japanese army ordered the construction of warehouses and reserve military supplies to prepare for future wars. One of the warehouses, located in Dr. Wufeng mountain, coincidentally, is located exactly in front of the tomb of Jin Shengsi.
When they built the warehouse, they first laid a solid foundation, built a building on the ground, and then covered the warehouse with mud, disguised as an ordinary mountain bag, which was specially used to defend against our air raids. It is worth mentioning that the dirt used to bury the camouflage warehouse is basically from the sealing soil on the tomb of Jin Shengsi, and because of this, the tomb of Jin Shengsi has now completely disappeared.
In the 1980s, China's cultural department carried out a rescue activity for cultural relics and relics, and carried out many targeted protection measures for the tomb of Dr. Wufengshan Wujin Sheng in Suzhou, and also set up a commemorative tombstone here to commemorate this literary figure. However, unfortunately, despite the efforts of many experts to study and survey, the real location of Jin Shengsi's mausoleum could not be found in the end.
Jin Shengsi's life can be described as "born at the wrong time, dead at the right time, buried at the wrong time", he was empty and talented, and there was nowhere to show it.
