Marvel Studios' first animated series, Infinite Possibilities: What Ifs, was a success in the adventure.
As the creators say, here they implement a lot of stories that can't be made in live-action movies.
Content like zombie avengers, at least for now, is not something you dare to touch in the movie.
There are a lot of imaginative plots in "What If", but in the end these stories converge on Ultron, the ultimate villain in the finale.
Maybe Ultron in the movie is too brittle, so he was justified in "What If".
Even if Thanos, the strongest villain in the first three stages of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, came to Ultron, he was easily killed.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Brian Andrews, director of What If, spoke about Thanos.
"Well, I think Thanos is already very powerful. But I think it's important for everyone to remember that there are endless possibilities here. ”
"So, yes, in some universes, Thanos may not have succeeded, and it's not as bad as we think." (Thanos in episode 2 is whitewashed)
"Maybe he's on the verge of getting away with it, but he's being defeated in a different way."
"I also believe there's a universe where Thor is aiming at his head."
In the eighth episode of "If... In Ultron Wins, Thanos has an Infinite Warfare-style appearance.
But compared to the aura in the live-action movie, in "What If", it is really sloppy to send gems thousands of miles, and one second is split in half by Ultron.
You must know that Thanos at this time has five gems, and Ultron has only one.
Regarding this plot, Andrews thinks that Thanos in this universe may be a little too arrogant.
"I believe there may be hundreds of universes, and Thanos walked out of that door and saw Ultron, and he destroyed the robot."
"It's a specific story, [so] in a particular way to achieve that particular story."
"To achieve that, I think that particular Thanos may just be too arrogant. He hadn't checked in advance where he was going, and he was a bit ill-prepared. ”
The first season of Infinite Possibilities: What If consisted of nine episodes, all of which have now been aired.
The second season of the series will produce the story of the fourth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is expected to air next year.
