It has been 80 years since the "9/18" incident, and this humiliating history is still remembered. When you look at that period of history, there are many strange places, but it can also be seen that Japan made careful arrangements for invading China.
The "918" incident was an act of aggression launched by Japan under long-term preparations. Moreover, before the incident, Japan had made a lot of adequate preparations, but Chinese did not find out.

In 1928, after the "Huanggutun Incident", the Japanese military department's Kawamoto Daisaku had already brewed the next move, that is, the next "918" incident.
In the "918" incident, there were three people in Japan who had to be mentioned, one was Itagaki Seishiro, one was Ishihara Guan'er, and the other was Kenji Toihara. None of these three Japanese generals had ever led a soldier, and they were all staff officers in the Japanese army. However, the Japanese staff dared to plan to attack China, which had to be inexplicable.
Historically, Itagaki Seishiro, Ishihara Guan'er, and Kenji Toihara are also referred to as the "Three Feathers of the Kwantung Army". The leader of Baden Baden's "Three Feathers" was Nagata Tetsuyama, but the leader of the Kwantung Army's "Three Feathers" was Itagaki Seishiro.
Itagaki was not tall, the typical Japanese figure of the time, but he was very elaborate and gave a very elegant impression. In 1916, after graduating from the Japanese Army University, Itagaki worked as a member of the Chinese class at the General Staff Headquarters. In 1919, he was appointed as a staff officer of the Chinese garrison, and he worked in the Japanese secret service in Yunnan, Hankou, Fengtian and other places. There is an in-depth study of China, which is the "China Pass" in the Japanese army.
Itagaki Seishiro was also a member of the Japanese "Ichigokai", a man who was bold and dared to think and dare to do anything, which was a typical feature of the Young Zhuang faction of the Japanese army at that time.
In 1929, when he was a staff officer in the Kwantung Army, he took Ishihara Guan'er, who was also a staff officer at the time, and traveled to all corners of the northeast. Through this investigation, he concluded that in the war against Soviet Russia, Manchuria and Mongolia were the main battlefield, and against the United States, Manchuria and Mongolia were the main source of combat resources.
Both Itagaki and Ishihara advocated occupying Tohoku and becoming Japanese territory. It is based on this that the two walk together.
Ishihara is also a sinister and strategic person, this person has a baby face, but he is a person who is not afraid of anything terrible.
Ishihara was 4 years younger than Itagaki and arrived in the northeast half a year later, but when he arrived, he was attracted to the wealth of the northeast. Even think of the tactics of how the Japanese occupied the Northeast.
After Ishihara arrived in Tohoku, he began to study the history and map of Tohoku in depth. He went to China for one year and actually made three expeditions to the northeast. Therefore, he also proposed his own strategy, which was to occupy northeast China and make northeast China the only way to survive. He even put forward the term "7 governors", that is, the establishment of "7 governors" after the invasion of China. It can be seen that the Japanese have long been deliberate in their efforts to invade China.
Ishihara's strategy, even Itagaki was convinced. A graduate of the Japanese Army University and a study in Germany, he studied Napoleon's military thought in depth, and his hobby was how to help Japan expand abroad.
Kenji Doihara specializes in secret agents, who once trained Yoshiko Kawashima and is good at conspiracy and trickery. He served in the Japanese secret service in Tianjin, and just before the "918" incident, he was transferred to the head of the Japanese secret service in Fengtian.

After briefly introducing the "Kwantung Army Sanyu Wu", let's talk about some things before the "918" incident. In November 1930, Nagata Tetsuyama, the head of the Military Division of the Japanese Army Province, went to the northeast, and when he consulted with Itagaki, Itagaki directly proposed to occupy the northeast by force. Nagata Tetsuyama knew the strength of the Japanese army, and he thought the same as Itagaki, but he did not explicitly support Itagaki. But he promised to give Itagaki two 240 mm heavy guns.
Such heavy artillery was rare at that time, and the Japanese army deployed large-caliber heavy artillery, obviously in preparation for the war of aggression. But how to bring the heavy artillery is also a difficult problem. It was not until July 1931 that the Japanese smuggled two heavy guns to Shenyang.
It is said that when this heavy artillery was transported, it was transported from the arsenal in Tokyo, Japan, to Kobe, Japan, and then from Kobe to Lushun, China.
In order not to let people find out, the Japanese loaded the gun body, gun mount, etc. separately, disguised as a coffin and a Japanese bathtub before being mixed with inspection, and then successfully transported to Shenyang.
Heavy artillery arrived, and assembly was a problem. If assembled during the day, it is bound to be discovered. The Japanese are very ghostly, so they assemble it at night, calling it a well or building a bathing pool.
When installed, the Japanese artillery actually wore Chinese costumes as cover. Because the direction of attack should be fixed in advance when the heavy artillery was installed, the heavy artillery was directly facing the airfields of Beiding and Shenyang after installation.
From this point of view, Japan can be said to have racked its brains in order to invade The Northeast. The Northeast Army, on the other hand, knew nothing. At that time, the Northeast Army also observed the Japanese army, and when they came to the scene where the heavy artillery was installed, they were driven away by the Japanese army.

In order to occupy the northeast, Japan made sufficient preparations. In April 1931, the Japanese transferred the 2nd Division to the northeast to change defenses. Because this Japanese army has been stationed in the cold areas of northern Japan for a long time, it adapts to the cold in the northeast.
After the Japanese army was transferred to Shenyang, Itagaki Seishiro encouraged this unit, saying that "Chinese only want to live and work in peace and contentment, while politics and military are a profession, that is, tax collection and public security... He told the Japanese military Chinese "the sense of nationality is weak, and no matter who is in power, they don't care." (Roughly speaking, this is the case).
It has to be said that Itagaki Seishiro was too thorough in his study of China at that time, and he believed that China was a mess at that time. He studied not only the ruling class, but also the general population.
This kind of agitation played a great role, making some Japanese troops bolder and daring to attack, thinking that no one dared to stop them. This was Itagaki's "pre-war mobilization" before the September 18 incident.
After the introduction of the "Kwantung Army Three Feathers", the Japanese smuggling of heavy artillery to Shenyang, and the replacement of Japanese troops in the cold regions of Japan, as well as the encouragement of Itagaki. All this is enough to show that before the "918" incident, the Japanese army had long been fully prepared for invading China.
